Doubting God's Word

Doubting God's Word People have the tendency to doubt what God is telling us in the Word. We seem to not be able to understand nor explain the mysteries which is hidden in the Word, until we are ready to let God reveal all the mysteries within.

Satan uses this doubting to all children of God, but more to the new Christian. Let us look at Job 11:7-8 "Can you fathom the mysteries of God? Can you probe the limits of the Almighty? They are higher than the heavens--what can you do? They are deeper than the depths of the grave--what can you know?"

This is impossible for the finite minds to understand! Finite means having bounds or limits. We are limited tounderstand for a reason. Romans 11:33 says: "Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments." This is the passage that brings on the out pouring of Paul's praise to God for wisdom, knowledge and the great plan for the salvation of both Jews and Gentiles.

Here is a promise that God has offered us the salvation we need to become adopted children and when we do we are sealed for everlasting life with Him. Praise God! Look at 2 Peter 3:16 "He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort." What this is telling us here is that Peter, is referring to passages in Paul's writings too. The ignorant are simply the unlearned who have not been taught basic apostolic teaching and thus may be easily led astray.

We have NO NEED to DOUBT, yes at first as a new child of God it is hard to understand what is written. But with teachers, leaders of the church, mature leaders are to teach the new the basics of the Word of God. Teach TRUTH with simplicity, Christ+Salvation is laid out in the Word of God.

The mysteries that are layed hidden are the mysteries of God's Glory (truth). When we fill conviction, it reveals truth..this means the Word is the LIVING God......Look at Hebrews 3:12 "See to it, brothers, that none of you has a sinful, unbelieving heart that turns away from the Living God. 1 Corinthians 2:10 says; "but God has REVEALED it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God."

This means here that the Spirit knows ALL THINGS, and comprehends the depth of God's nature and his plans of grace. So the Spirit is fully competent to make the revelations claimed here.

Also turn to Deuteronomy 29:29; The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things revvealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may follow all the words of this law. We are not gods, there is only one God...He is Superior. If we were gods, then God would not be "Supreme". There would not be any new knowledge, development to learn then, if we were a god.

Paul wrote in Colossians 2:3 this; in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.: This tells us that Paul is talking about the genuine knowledge the Christian possesses not the Gnostic. Bit by bit the wisdom and knowledge will be given to the believer by the Holy Spirit. Not to ever exhaust the treasures of wisdom, goodness, and power.

Over in John 3:16-17 God gives us a PROMISE!!!! God is not an indian giver! In these verses it says: "For God so LOVED the world that He GAVE His one and only SON, that WHOEVER believes in Him SHALL NOT perish but HAVE eternal life. For God DID NOT send His Son into the world to CONDEMN the world, but to SAVE the world through HIM." What a promise here folks!!! Hang on to this!!!

The enemy (satan) is the one who plants doubts in our minds, regardless the age we are in Christ. He is the deceiver!

It is hard to understand what the Word of God is telling us but if we truly seek we shall have the treasures that are hidden revealed to us. Those that doubt, do they not like authority, are they unwilling to obey? If so, do you think it is due to the deceit that the enemy has put in ones head?

John 7:17 says this "If anyone chooses to do God's will, he will find out whether my teaching comes from God or whether I speak on my own" words of Jesus. We receive greater light here with (respect) reverence and prayer.

Here in Psalm 34:8 is the invitation from God. "Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him." Amen

Those who trust in Him will LACK NOTHING good, unless they experience good days, they must SHUN evil and do GOOD. To trust and obey is "to fear the Lord". This verse says to me that we need to turn from the sin(s) in all we do and TRUST IN GOD FULLY AND COMPLETELY. Instead of just reading it and saying it we MUST swallow it. We will taste the LOVE, MERCY, and mostly the WORD.

John 16:24 "Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete." spoken words of Jesus! Folks have asked the Father or Christ yes, but never asked the Father in Christ's name. So, this is telling me when we ask in the name of Jesus, when we talk to God, it shall be given to us....not in our time though in God's time.

We have been rescued from the "dominion of the darkness" (Colossians 1:13); and we have been brought to the kingdom with love. With this look at what 2 Peter 3:18 says we should do; "But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen!" Yes Peter is stressing to seek knowledge. Using this as an antidote to false teachers in the world that boasted in their esoteric knowledge. (Esoteric means: understood by or meant for only the select few)

This verse shows us what we need to look for when we seek out a church that claims to be of God. If this church has a "select few" that goes in secret we need to be very careful what they the "select few" do behind the secret doors. This is a verse we should really keep when we seek not just a local church but a body of believers online or anywhere. If they do things in secret then are they truly true teachers or false teachers? Just something to think here on folks! We have been given the power of the "Source of Light", we just need to seek it......without any doubts coming from the enemy. Trust and obey!!! "for there is no other way than to be happy in Jesus, than to trust and obey."

Proverbs 4:18 "The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day." 1 Corinthians 13:12 says "Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror, then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known." Proverbs 4:18, we have seen now once we come as a new Christian the glimpse of the LIGHT (JESUS) and as we grown in Him the LIGHT will grown brighter until we are called home. Amen!

1 Corinthians 13:12 we see here just the bronze polished mirror which cast off a imperfect reflection, but the Lord see directly and clearly in heaven, His mirror is polished well. With growth and more growth in the knowledge of the Word our mirrors will become clearer too, as long as we seek, seek, seek. We Christians will see the Lord to the "fullest" extent in the finite, and will not fully see in the infinite until the return of the Lord.

We need to pray and wait on the LIGHT that is given to us. Seek, Trust, Obey, and we will one day be in the complete presence of our Father in heaven. Amen! This is the beginning of this bible study. :o) Thank you Beyondadoubt for a great study. Thank you Father for giving this to us.......in the name of Christ........Amen

The beginning!!
