God created this world, and slowly over the generations of time
man is destroying it. Piece by piece, life by life.
Battles have been fought from almost the beginning of time.
Some of us are called to be the ones to go into battle.
Battle is not only for defending a country, but for life's journey.
I was called at the age of 22 to go and join the military.
Here I have learned how to fight battles that our country
feels we need to go partake in. But there is only one that can
fight our battles in everyday life. His name is Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
Are you willing to join His "army" for life?
When I first joined the United States Army. I never thought I would make it a career.
I joined because a friend of mine said "Why not join the Army?".
I went back home and thought it over,on June 02, 1981 I made the call.
I went downtown in Houston, Texas. I took the exam and joined that day.
That summer I got to spend time with my Grandmother.
Which was the last time I got to see her alive.
The army took me away from my family.
But, I knew in my heart that
I was not doing this for me.
But, I was doing something to help
make this country remain free.
So, my family and friends could
continue to live in freedom.
The song playing and the words on the bottom of this page,
is exactly how I feel. "I'm proud to be an American"
I served in one conflict throughout my career.
I served in "Operation Just Cause"
during December 1989 through December 1990.
There is when it hit me, that I could come
home in a casket one day. Praise God I didn't!
But, if it would have been me that returned home
that way. I know what I would have done would not be in vain.
For freedom is not to be taken for granted.
We in America don't realize it until we have gone
to the Third World countries, how blessed
we are in our home land called
the United States of America.
Home of the brave, home of the free!!!
Please I ask you who read this,
don't take what God has given unto us
with a grain of salt. We live in a country
where freedom should continue to ring.
When it is time again to vote for your rights that
have been handed down from the forefathers who
founded this great nation.
Let us fight for our freedom, let us fight
to put God back in America.
"Will you stand up next to her and defend her still today?"
I want to thank my mom and dad at this time.
It was my parents who instilled in me the
values and morals all should have as an American.
Mom and Dad, I thank you both from the bottom of my heart
for the love, compassion, kindness, gentleness,
and for never giving up on me. I love you dearly!

These two young men gave their lives for our freedom.
I know both of these men, even though I was just a little girl.
They lived in my hometown! It was a sad time back then.
Many like Harry and Phillip lost their lives in a conflict
that has much controversy still today.
Harry was the only son, and what a devastation it was on his family.
Phillip came from a good size family. I have the priviledge to know his nephew
who is named after him. Harry and Phillip paved my way,
as all those who has fought for our freedom.
To Harry and Phillip
I salute you with great honor.
May you both rest in peace.
What are you doing to keep it FREE?
Who's sons are buried here?
Did they die in vain?
Will you keep a candle burning
until they all come HOME
How many more will come home this way?
I'm Proud to be an American
(God Bless The USA)
If tomorrow all the things were gone I'd worked for all my life,
And I had to start again with just my children and my wife,
I'd thank my lucky stars to be living here today,
'Cause the flag still stands for freedom and they can't take that away.
I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free,
And I won't forget the men who died who gave that right to me,
And I gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today,
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land God Bless the U.S.A.
From the lakes of Minnesota to the hills of Tennessee,
Across the plains of Texas from sea to shining sea.
From Detroit down to Houston and New York to L.A.,
There's pride in every American heart and it's time we stand and say:
I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free,
And I won't forget the men who died who gave that right to me,
And I gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today,
'Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land God Bless the U.S.A.

This messages touched my heart and had to share with all.
Thank you my dear brother, Robert.
These are some of my "earthly" rewards. But let me tell you
I can't wait to gain the heavenly rewards, that are
more than these are here. These shall pass away one day!
Please if you know who took the pictures here on this page.
Please let me know so I can give them the credit they deserve. Thank you!
