A Friend's Prayer
May my friendships always be
The most important thing to me;
With special friends I feel I'm blessed,
So let me give my very best.
I want to do much more than share
The hopes and plans of friends who care;
I'll try all that a friend can do
To make their secret dreams come true.
Let me use my heart to see,
To realize what friends can be,
And make no judgements from afar,
But love my friends the way they are.

Friends are some of the most precious gifts we receive.
In the book of Proverbs there are some verses that tells
us about "friend".
Proverbs 17:17 says "A friend loves at all times, and a
brother is born for adversity."
Proverbs 18:24 says "A man of many companions may come to ruin,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother."
Proverbs 27:10 says "Do not forsake your friend of the
friend of your father, and do not go to your brother's
house when disaster strikes you---better a neighbor
nearby than a brother far away."
Michael W. Smith sings a song titled "Friends". This song is TRUTH! We are truly friends if the Lord's the Lord of us. Without the Lord, there is no friendship at all. We think we have "true" friends in all who we call "friend". But, we are revealed over a time that they weren't really a "friend".
Friends don't deceive you.
Don't persecute you!
Friends don't use you to gain their own desires.
Friends are with you in good times as well as bad.
Friends don't leave you to the dog eat dog world.
When we are persecuted by those we thought loved us, they are doing as the Jews did to Jesus. They persecuted Jesus, they didn't believe in Him..... so just think of it like this...... they have blessed you when they turn away. They have truly blessed you! Jesus said that we shall be persecuted in His name's sake. Those that know you are a child of God and they do this to you they not only persecute you but they persecute Jesus all over again for He resides within.
We have a friend who DOES stick closer than a brother. This friend is JESUS! All we need to do is ask HIM into our hearts and BELIEVE. Do you know this man I am referring to? Would you like to know HIM in a way that will profit tenfold? Just accept Him as your Lord and Savior. You don't have to be in a church at the altar to do this. You can ask Him in anywhere you are at, backyard, garage, work site anywhere. Just recognize you are a sinner, repent of your sins, and ask Him to forgive you of them. You will live eternal in heaven with Jesus and our Father. Amen
