Knowing God's Will

We all have said this phrase "I wonder what God's plan is for me?" In His Word there lays deep within His "plan for all". Let us turn in our bibles to Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."

We need to SUBMIT, OBEY, AND BE LED by God. The "greatest achievement we can to is just "DO" God's will. No matter the cost! No matter what we want to hang onto, we need to SUBMIT it all over to the Lord. For if we don't how can we feel at peace when outside of His will we are miserable. Miserable outside His will versing Peace in Heart when in His Will. This is the choice we all must take.

Acts 24:16 "So I strive always to keep my conscience clear before God and man." We need to apologize, restition to others (give back, if possible, repay), confess, and repent. Spoken words of Jesus; Luke 9:23 "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me." We need to surrender all over to Jesus, then take up the cross and follow Him........not hang on to some, and just pick the cross up when we feel like it. To follow Jesus we must self denial, complete dedication and willing obedience. Take up the CROSS on a daily basis!

In God's book althroughout is sought the will of God. It is there we must read it, apply it, and tell others about it. One might say where is it in the Word, it is through the motivatin verses and the promises. Let us turn to Psalm 119:05 "Oh, that my ways were steadfast in obeying our decrees."

We NEED to pray in order to know His will. To let the Spirit reveal His Will to us. Turn in your bibles if you will to Philippians 4:6 here it tells us exactly that we need not be anxious about anything, but we need to give everything, by praying and petition with thanksgiving.

Anxious here in the bible study I have is described as: "selfcentered, counterproductive worry, not legitimate cares and concerns for the spread of the gospel." Anxiety and prayer are negative forces to each other. Get rid of anixety, plain and simply!!!!!!!!

Matthew 5:23 says "Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you." Here at the altar we are told by Jesus to remember our brother who has something against us. Why do you think this was spoken? We need to lay the anger that we have against this brother at the altar in order for His will to work in our lives as well as in that brother's lives. Amen!!!

What does Jesus tell us in John 16:13 and what does 1 Corinthians 2:12 say?

John 16:13 "But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come."

In this verse it does not say who he hears from, if it is God or from the Son, so that is not the importance of this verse, but what is important is the close relationship among the three of them. Be sensitive to hear what is being said to you. The warnings of a course you maybe getting ready to take, this will cause you to act out that course; the sweet whisper that comes to you saying have you forgot the promises that God has in store for you?

1 Corinthians 2:12 "We have not received the spirit of the world but the Spirit who is from God, that we may understand what God has freely given us." We no longer have the spirit of the world, but we do now have the Spirit of God residing in us. Why do you think this? So we could go on sinning without knowing it.........nope........so when we walk into that temptation we can hear the whisper from the Spirit inside says hey hey hey, look don't go there. It is up to us now if we do or if we listen to that warning from the Spirit inside us.

Isaiah 33:17 this verse gives us inner peace when doing HIs will. Most important here is make room for 'FAITH'. If we are willing to give all to Him and if we truly want to obey. Isaiah 33:17 what we will see....... "Your eyes will see the King in his beauty and view a land that stretches afar." Turn to 1 John 2:27 "As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as theat anointing is real, not counterfeit--just as it has taught you, remain in him." Do you see a promise in this verse.........from the first time we asked Him in He remains and anoints us, teaches us, and tells us to let open our hearts to learn the "Will of God" so we can remain in Him full time, not just when we want Him. Amen!!!!!!!!!!

We need to implant this verse in our hearts; Psalm 40:8 "I desire to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart." If we do this and what is in John 14:15 "If you love me, you will obey what I command." (words of Jesus); God will do to us what Jesus tells us in John 14:23 "If anyone loves me, he will obey my teaching. My Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him." Wow yet another PROMISE!!!!!!!!!!

Turn to Psalm 84:11 if you will; "For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless." God is the "sun" our Source of LIGHT in life. We turn all over to Him what does He do for us? Let's the Spirit reveal all mysteries that are hidden throughout the bible to those that don't have the Spirit. He protects HIS flock?

Over in 1 Samuel 15:22 here it is revealed and take delight fulfillment of His Plan. It says: 'But Samuel replied: "Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in OBEYING the voice of the Lord? To obey is BETTER than sacrifice, and to heed is better than the fat of rams."

God is not to overly concern about the offering up of sacrifices but He is concern if His children will obey all He has shown and given them to do on a daily basis. We as His children need to get that rebellion streak out of us and JUST OBEY.

We need to be calm in any storm that comes our way, especially when we are being persecuted by others. Look at James 1:22 and Philippians 2:13!

James 1:22 "Do not merely listen to the Word, and so deceive yoursleves. Do what it says." Apply the Word, don't read it then just say oh I read what it says and not do anything. Philippians 2:13 "for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose." We have allow God to do His Will in us if we want to have inner peace and not be totally miserable. Let us all walk in His Will, and cast the misery out for there is no room in His Will for us to do our own self-center ways.

The beginning!!
