Prophecy Fulfilled
"Jeremiah 31:38-40
a prophecy of the growth of
Jerusalem in the twentieth century
this prophecy has come true, defying odds of 80
billion to one.
Jeremiah said that Jerusalem shall be holy unto the
Lord. this part of the prophecy came true in 1948.
Jeremiah 31:31 Behold, the days come, saith the
LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house
of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Jeremiah 31:32 Not according to the covenant that I
made with their fathers in the day that I took them by
the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which
my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto
them, saith the LORD:
Jeremiah 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I
will make with the house of Israel; After those days,
saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward
parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their
God, and they shall be my people.
Jeremiah 31:34 And they shall teach no more every man
his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know
the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least
of them unto the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for
I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember
their sin no more.
Jeremiah 31:35 Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the
sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon
and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth
the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts
is his name:
Jeremiah 31:36 If those ordinances depart from before
me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall
cease from being a nation before me for ever.
Jeremiah 31:37 Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above
can be measured, and the foundations of the earth
searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the
seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the
LORD.
Jeremiah 31:38 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD,
that the city shall be built to the LORD from the
tower of Hananeel unto the gate of the corner.
Jeremiah 31:39 And the measuring line shall yet go
forth over against it upon the hill Gareb, and shall
compass about to Goath.
Jeremiah 31:40 And the whole valley of the dead
bodies, and of the ashes, and all the fields unto the
brook of Kidron, unto the corner of the horse gate
toward the east, shall be holy unto the LORD; it shall
not be plucked up, nor thrown down any more for ever.
"The Old Testament ... contains several hundred
references to the Messiah. All of these were fulfilled
in Christ and they establish a solid confirmation of
his credentials as the Messiah."
Therefore,we will look at prophesy about the End times
& what is coming & what has "passed".

WHAT IS COMING Or What is left to Pass.....

The Rapture of the Church is an event that is part of
what is as a whole called the SECOND COMING OF CHRIST.
The Bible predicts that Christ will come again.
Amazingly, even the secular press got caught in a
rapture fever awhile ago and took a survey. U.S. News
& World Report discovered that "61% of all Americans
believe that Jesus Christ will return to the earth,
and 44% believe in the RAPTURE of the Church" [2] Now
where do we find this event in the Bible? Well, the
most prominent place is the New Testament book of 1
Thessalonians where we read,
1 Th 4:13-18 (NIV) "Brothers, we do not want you to be
ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve
like the rest of men, who have no hope. 14 We believe
that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that
God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep
in him. 15 According to the Lord’s own word, we tell
you that we who are still alive, who are left till the
coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those
who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will
come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the
voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of
God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After
that, we who are still alive and are left will be
caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the
Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord
forever. 18 Therefore encourage each other with these
words."
Notice the phrase "caught up together" Paul uses in
verse 17. In the Greek language this phrase is found
in one word, "harpazo." It means to "steal, carry off
or drag away" as it is used in (Matt. 12:29;John
10:12). However, it can also mean, "to lead away
forcibly," as it is used in (John 6:15; 10:28-29; Acts
23:10; Jude 1:23). Yet, a third usage is how I believe
it is presented in this passage in 1 Thessalonians.
Here it is used to mean, " catch away, to seize or
take suddenly," and the most relevant word the early
translators of the Bible used in Latin was "raptus,"
which comes down to us as "rapture!" In fact, we have
a specific usage and example of this event in the
Bible found in the Book of Acts surrounding the
ministry of a disciple of the Lord named Philip. As he
was evangelizing, God's Spirit snatched him away from
the desert where he was baptizing a new convert. We
read,
Acts 8:39 (NIV) "When they came up out of the water,
the Spirit of the Lord suddenly took Philip away, and
the eunuch did not see him again, but went on his way
rejoicing."
Philip miraculously was "caught up" and taken away. I
believe, as has the teaching of the historic Christian
church, that in like manner Christ will suddenly come
again and "snatch away," His Church, the Body of
Christ now residing on the earth. This is exactly what
Paul told the Thessalonians. An event is coming that
will begin a period of time known as the SECOND COMING
OF CHRIST. This event although often taught in
confusing ways, is not a single happening in time, but
an event that covers a period of time, specifically a
seven-year period. Now, two dramatic events encompass
it. The "RAPTURE" of the Saints begins it and at the
end of the seven-year period, the "REVELATION" of the
Lord ends it.

THE CHURCH IS NOT ISRAEL - Scripture makes a clear
distinction between two elect peoples. Israel, the
Jewish nation is never equated with the Church; nor
are its promises, blessings or curses transferable. In
the New Testament this is affirmed in (Acts 15:14-18;
Rom. 11:25-27; 1 Cor. 10:32; Gal. 6:16; Eph. 2:15).
Yes, God has a special plan for His body the Church,
it is to "rapture" them off the earth to give way for
His exclusive dealings with Israel, and the Gentiles
in the coming Tribulation Period. Indeed, the Church
is never found in the Tribulational teachings of
Bible.
THE PURPOSE OF THE TRIBULATION PERIOD DOES NOT INCLUDE
THE CHURCH - The primary purpose of intervening in the
affairs of men, will be to prepare Israel to receive
its Messiah rejected long ago. ( Dan. 9:4, 24-27; Rom
11:25-28). There is no purpose for the Church to be
involved. Any witnessing to be done for Christ is
returned to the Jewish nation.
THE CHURCH IS EXEMPTED FROM GOD'S WRATH - The Bible
clearly tells us we are at "peace" with God. There is
no purging, nor purgatorial work to be done with the
Church. In fact, specifically we are told that the
Church will be exempt from any such dealings of God
with the Jew or Gentile. (1 Thess. 1:9-10; 5:9; Rom.
5:9-10; Rev. 3:10)
THE BIBLE TEACHES THE IMMINENT RETURN OF CHRIST FOR
HIS CHURCH - The very fact that Scripture reveals that
no signs, or event need occur before Christ comes
again "for" His saints, can lead us only to a
Pretribulational rapture view. All others require us
to "look for signs." Yet we are told His coming for
the church will be "suddenly, with out notice, when no
one is looking, in a twinkling of an eye. The
Pretribulational rapture view alone fits the literal
interpretation of such verses. (Rom 13:11-14;1 Cor.
1:7; 15:8; 15:51-53; 16:22; Phil 3:20-21; 1 Thess.
1:10; 4:15; Titus 2:13; James 5:7-9)
THE BIBLE TEACHES A CLEAR DISTINCTION BETWEEN THE
RAPTURE & THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST - There are
at least 22 conflicting passages that speak of the
event called the "Second Coming" of Christ. Each one
of them conflicts with what the other states, unless….
they are different phases of Christ's Coming. We
believe they are. The one that is imminent is the
coming "Rapture" of the Church, the one that is
preceded by "signs," is the Second Coming or
"Revelation" of Christ at the end of them Tribulation
Period.

What has come to pass....
Matthew 24:7-8: Nation will rise against nation, and
kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and
earthquakes in various places. All these are the
beginning of birth pains.
Revelation 6:8: I looked, and there before me was a
pale horse! Its rider was named Death, and Hades was
following close behind him. They were given power over
a fourth of the earth to kill by sword, famine and
plague, and by the wild beasts of the earth.
Psalm 33:18-19: But the eyes of the LORD are on those
who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing
love, to deliver them from death and keep them alive
in famine.
Psalm 37:18-20: The days of the blameless are known to
the LORD, and their inheritance will endure forever.
In times of disaster they will not wither; in days of
famine they will enjoy plenty. But the wicked will
perish: The LORD's enemies will be like the beauty of
the fields, they will vanish--vanish like smoke.
Ezekiel 14:13-14: "Son of man, if a country sins
against me by being unfaithful and I stretch out my
hand against it to cut off its food supply and send
famine upon it and kill its men and their animals,
even if these three men--Noah, Daniel and Job--were in
it, they could save only themselves by their
righteousness, declares the Sovereign LORD.
Famine.....Food emergencies persist throughout the
world, mainly due to the effects of adverse weather,
civil strife and chronic economic problems. Currently,
37 countries face food emergencies of varying degrees,
with an increasing number of people requiring food
assistance. Latest estimates put cereal food aid
shipments in 1998/99 at 9.5 million tonnes, 3 million
tonnes above last year and the highest level since
1993/94.

away from the faith and will betray and hate each

Plagues & Pestilences.....
Zechariah 14:12, 15: This is the plague with which the
LORD will strike all the nations that fought against
Jerusalem: Their flesh will rot while they are still
standing on their feet, their eyes will rot in their
sockets, and their tongues will rot in their mouths...
A similar plague will strike the horses and mules, the
camels and donkeys, and all the animals in those
camps.

Psalm 91:1-7: He who dwells in the shelter of the Most
High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will
say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my
God, in whom I trust." Surely he will save you from
the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence. He
will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings
you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your
shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of
night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the
pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague
that destroys at midday. A thousand may fall at your
side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not
come near you.

thoughts will come into your mind and you will devise
an evil scheme. You will say, "I will invade a land of
unwalled villages; I will attack a peaceful and
unsuspecting people--all of them living without walls
and without gates and bars. I will plunder and loot
and turn my hand against the resettled ruins and the
people gathered from the nations, rich in livestock
and goods, living at the center of the land."
Sheba and Dedan and the merchants of Tarshish and all
her villages will say to you, "Have you come to
plunder? Have you gathered your hordes to loot, to
carry off silver and gold, to take away livestock and
goods and to seize much plunder?"
"Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog: `This
is what the Sovereign LORD says: In that day, when my
people Israel are living in safety, will you not take
notice of it? You will come from your place in the far
north, you and many nations with you, all of them
riding on horses, a great horde, a mighty army. You
will advance against my people Israel like a cloud
that covers the land. In days to come, O Gog, I will
bring you against my land, so that the nations may
know me when I show myself holy through you before
their eyes.

the one I spoke of in former days by my servants the
prophets of Israel? At that time they prophesied for
years that I would bring you against them. This is
what will happen in that day: When Gog attacks the
land of Israel, my hot anger will be aroused, declares
the Sovereign LORD.
In my zeal and fiery wrath I declare that at that time
there shall be a great earthquake in the land of
Israel.
The fish of the sea, the birds of the air, the beasts
of the field, every creature that moves along the
ground, and all the people on the face of the earth
will tremble at my presence. The mountains will be
overturned, the cliffs will crumble and every wall
will fall to the ground. I will summon a sword against
Gog on all my mountains, declares the Sovereign LORD.
Every man's sword will be against his brother.
I will execute judgment upon him with plague and
bloodshed; I will pour down torrents of rain,
hailstones and burning sulfur on him and on his troops
and on the many nations with him.
And so I will show my greatness and my holiness, and I
will make myself known in the sight of many nations.
Then they will know that I am the LORD.'

punish men, or to water his earth and show his love.

The HEAVENS
Joel 2:30-32: I will show wonders in the heavens and
on the earth, blood and fire and billows of smoke. The
sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood
before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the
LORD. And everyone who calls on the name of the LORD
will be saved; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem
there will be deliverance, as the LORD has said, among
the survivors whom the LORD calls.
Revelation 6:12-14 I watched as he opened the sixth
seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned
black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon
turned blood red, and the stars in the sky fell to
earth, as late figs drop from a fig tree when shaken
by a strong wind. The sky receded like a scroll,
rolling up, and every mountain and island was removed
from its place
Revelation 8:10-12 The third angel sounded his
trumpet, and a great star, blazing like a torch, fell
from the sky on a third of the rivers and on the
springs of water-- the name of the star is Wormwood. A
third of the waters turned bitter, and many people
died from the waters that had become bitter. The
fourth angel sounded his trumpet, and a third of the
sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of
the stars, so that a third of them turned dark. A
third of the day was without light, and also a third
of the night.

PROPHESY:

The Prophesies are being unfolded as God Said they
would when He told Daniel to seal up the words till
the "End Times"..THEN ..man would uncover their
meanings.With The Holy Spirit working within to grant
the insight to interrpret these prophesies. Daniel
12:4 But you, Daniel, close up and seal the words of
the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go
here and there to increase knowledge."
Do we have MORE knowledge today that make it VERY
possible for the events in REVELATION to come to
pass?..YES we do ..

day's wages, and three quarts of barley for a day's
wages, and do not damage the oil and the wine!"

NOW..lol..After all THAT!!..HOPE!!!
John 3:16-21: "For God so loved the world that he gave
his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him
shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did
not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in
him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe
stands condemned already because he has not believed
in the name of God's one and only Son.
This is the verdict: Light has come into the world,
but men loved darkness instead of light because their
deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the
light, and will not come into the light for fear that
his deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the
truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen
plainly that what he has done has been done through
God."
Hope.
Hope sustains us when things look bleakest.
Hope is what we grasp for when times are the very
worst, when we do not know what the very next year or
month or day or moment will bring.
Hope is what makes all things bearable.
Do you find what you have seen here frightening? Do

even your soul?

Now, I am not talking about the long haired skinny
italian guy you have seen paintings of. I am talking
about a real, powerful, victorious, loving, concrete
Jesus. The one who you feel close to you right now.
The one who brought you to this page.
He is knocking at the door to your heart as you read
this...shall we let Him in? I offer this guarantee:
Your life will never be the same again. You will have
Him standing by your side from now on. You will have
His protection in the coming days.
You will have the creator of the universe on YOUR
side.
So how do you go about this?
Well, its the easiest and the hardest thing you will
ever do.
First, you have to admit that you have "sinned." In
regular english, this simply means that you have
displeased God. You have done things that He does not
approve of. This separates you from Him, because He
cannot abide sin to be near Him.
Second, and this is the neat part, you have been given
a gift. You see, you could do nothing at all to get
rid of the fact that you have sinned. Climb Mt.
Everest, swim the Pacific Ocean, it does not matter.
YOU can't ever get rid of it. BUT...God CAN.
Understand, in order to have your sins paid for,
forever, in total (really!), you need someone to pay
for them for you. Of course, all men have sinned, so
what to do? Who could possibly...
...be PERFECT?
God, of course.
God saw all of this; He saw that we were forever
separated from Him. But He loves us. He loves you. So,
He sent his perfect son to die for the sins you did.
God was the father of Jesus. Jesus therefore had no
sin in Him. He went through every day of His 33 years
without a single sin. He went to the cross, where he
died a horrible death, perfect and without blame.
So, He paid for your ticket. How's THAT for a
Christmas present? And He did that for you just like
you are now too!
Then (here comes the real neat part!) He rose from the
dead! Even Death could not hold Him. And now, if you
hear His voice, it cannot hold you either.
Well, its time.
Now, you gotta make a decision.
For Him, or against Him?
Let Him in. He's knocking. He wants to wrap you in His
arms with love like you have never experienced.
Pray this prayer. You can pray it to yourself, or out
loud. Don't worry if it feels like it is not going
past the ceiling. God is very much listening to you
right now.
"God, I have sinned against you. Jesus died for those
sins. I accept that payment. From this point forward,
make me Yours, God. Fill me with Your love, Your hope,
Your peace. I want to belong to You, God."
If you prayed that prayer, you have now started a new
life. You can feel it, can't you? Now, only one more
step, and its probably the best one!
There are THREE peices to this: God, Jesus, and the
Holy Spirit. God is the Father on high, Jesus is the
son, the lamb of God that was sacrificed for you, the
Holy Spirit is that part of God that comes to live
inside you. One more quick prayer:
"God, please send your Holy Spirit to live inside me
always."
And, for now, that's it! Welcome to the family!!!
NOW, God wrote you a love letter in the form of a
Book. You most likely have one near you now. Its
called the Bible.
Check it out.
You will be reading the very words of God Himself.
I suggest starting in the Gospel of John, then go
wherever you like in the book. Just read it, and
frequently. I also personally recommend an easy to
read version, like the New International Version or
the New King James to start with. God did not speak in
old english, I see no reason why we should have to
read Him in old english. God has always spoken in the
language of the day.
Most people will also want to go meet some people who
are also servants of God, for that is what you are
now. So, go find a good church. Ask God, He will lead
you. As a matter of fact, that would be a REAL good
first conversation to have with your new Father!
