Azumanga Daioh*Azuma Kiyohiko
Volumes 1-4 {End}
This manga is hilarious! At first I had a hard time understanding it because I wasn't used to the layout. Azumanga doesn't use the traditional manga layout, it's more like a comic strip except it reads up and down. It's generally about high school life and revolves around a group of female characters.
Baron Neko no Danshaku(Baron The Cat Baron)*Aoi Hiiragi
Volumes 1 {End}
A one volume manga about a girl named Haru who is kidnapped by cats in order to be married off to the cat prince. Basically the same storyline as the new Studio Ghibli movie "The Cat's Return" except for a few differences. The art is simple but nothing special.
Berserk*Kentarou Miura
Volumes 1-25
A graphic, gory, manga series set in the medieval era. Surprisingly good manga with unbelievably detailed art. Lots of fighting with monsters and supernatural forces. I'd only recommend this series to mature audiences such as ages 17 and up.
Card Captor Sakura*Clamp
Volumes 1-12 {End}
CCS is one of the few Clamp mangas I've read. I wouldn't say it is one of Clamp's best works. But the art is just as beautiful to look at. A good 'magic girl' series if you're into that genre. Has a lot of good looking characters and cute story.
Chrono Crusade*Daisuke Moriyama
Volumes 1-3
One of the newer manga series I've read. I really like the art and idea behind it. The main characters are Chrono and Rosette. Chrono is a demon who can only use his powers by taking time off Rosette's life. Rosette says herself that she probably won't even live till she's 30. There's a lot of action and the story moves along at a fast pace. It's a manga with nice art and interesting story.
City Hunter*Tsukasa Hojo
Volumes 1-27 (Special Edition) {End}
City Hunter is a older series which you can tell by the character's fashions. The first thing I noticed about this manga is the quality of the art. Saeba Ryo is a body guard/assassin for hire and happens to be quite a pervert also. I found this manga very entertaining. Stories kinda get a little repetitive but still one of my favorites.
Da! Da! Da!*Kawamura Mika
Volumes 1-8
About a girl and a boy who live with two aliens from outer space. A half cat, half dog creature and a alien baby who can fly and manipulate objects. Simple cute art, cute story, and cute characters.
Dragon Ball*Akira Toriyama
Volumes 1-42 {End}
There are 7 'dragon balls' scattered all over the world. Collect all of them, and a Dragon god will appear and grant you one wish. One manga I believe every manga lover should read at least once. Starts off as an adventure based story, and turns into an action based series as the main character grows up. Story deteriorates after Volume 35. The first manga series I've ever read. Dragon Ball is what made me a manga fan.
Dance! Subaru*Soda Masahito
Volumes 1-9
The tragic story of a girl named Subaru who is a dance genius. The manga follows her through her tumultuos life full of sorrow and pain. The focus of the story is on Subaru's life, and not so much ballet. Subaru is a very unique character, because she has trouble controlling her emotions. Her personality fluctuates wildly with her moods and desires. I can only describe the art as 'sketchy'. The art becomes increasingly messy as the volumes progress.
