Conference Friends!
UU Conference!
These people on this list are people I met at a religious retreat/conference. They are all great... besides the fact that they make fun of my "Canadian" accent,
whatever that is. I have no idea! Anyway, they are great, and I love them all too!
- Julie: Julie didn't come to Winter con, but she was there at fall con. She is great. She is fun, and she always listens to my problems via e-mail.
- Ben: Ben is honestly one of the most intelligent people I know. He is a sweet and smart guy. He has nice eyes too! =) I love him to death for being such a great person! His ideas about life are very similar to mine, and this is always comforting for those days when you feel like no one ever has the same ideas. Oh course, they aren't always the same, but I know that Ben would listen to me and tell me what he thinks about it then he would tell me his view on it. I think he is radicalific! I made that up! There is no ordinary adjective to describe him! :)
- Zach: Pez rules! I love Zach! He is the silliest guy I know! He has a coke addiction, is mad for pez and is a great performer! I am so glad that I know him, and I am so greatful that I am his friend... because he is so prompt in returning e-mails! =)
- Brandon: Ya Brandon, I am still Canadian. Brandon is a funny, "good sport" after his two toothpaste foofs! I think he is really splendiferous! He was always accepting and fun - despite the canadian makingfunnage! No, don't worry, I love ya!
- Spencer: First it was anal probes, now it is warm cheese rations, what will it be next time? I don't know, but he is a great guy, a little scary when it comes to "nice touching" though!
- Melissa: Melissa is so sweet! She is the nicest girl! I remember at fall con when we had to say something nice and feed each other bread! Well, anyway, I didn't as feel comfortable as I do now back then with her, but now she is super cool and a great friend!
- TJ: TJ is quiet, tired, but he is a really nice guy. Also, he is 20$ richer! (I have the dollar sign after the number because I learned my math in french, just in case you were wondering...)
- Allison: Allison wasn't at winter con, but she was at fall con. She is fun, daring (maybe a little too daring, eh Brandon? Argh! I said eh! Sorry!)
- Heather: I met Heather at winter con, it was her first con. She is nice, has great views, and is a good singer!
- Monet: I knew Monet from the last con, but I only got to know her at this one! She is very interesting and fun. I always thought that she was a kazillion times older than me, but she is really only a couple months older! Who really cares, but hey, you have to like the little things.
- Kristen: Kristen is so cute! Especially with her green leopard dress and rainbow fishnet stockings! We went together for the workshop this time and played with play-dough! It was fun! She was in my touch group too! She is fun to talk to as well!
- Sam: Sam was my touch group leader! She was the greatest touch group leader ever too! She is funny, the greatest singer and really nice! I was so glad to be in her group!!!!!!
- Eric: Oh my! I need a whole page to talk about Eric! He is the best person I know in the world! I know, it sounds weird to say, best, but he is. He is the person I have to thank for telling me about UU. I had never even heard of it before then. I really love UU because I can be who I am and think my own way and people will listen and respect what I have to say. I am not sure really about myself yet, but Eric certainly is helping me along the way! He always has confidence in everyone and doesn't judge too harshly. He is smart, funny, kind, everything you would want someone to be. I am so thankful that I can call him my friend. I love him, and will always love him as the greatest friend anyone could ever have.
OELC!
The following people are people I met at my OELC conference in Sept. '98. OELC stands for Ontario Educational Leadership Center. It was for a week, and was super fun.
It was on diversity, and I learned a lot about descrimination and how to stand up for myself, and for other people who are victims of descrimination or harassment. It was an eye opening experience,
and I am so thankful to have been a part of it!
Before you read on, check out my mini photo album of OELC! It is great, and table 6, make sure you check out the last picture, it's something you've been waiting for...
