A few moments later AJ arrived, then Nick. As soon as Nick walked through the door, he grabbed his bag from the corner and started packing things. AJ and Kevin stared helplessly around the room, not knowing what to say or do. They all jumped and turned around when th door flew open and Howie apeared at the door - clothes ripped to shreds, panting. He flew to the floor and just layed there. Then came Brian, who looked like he'd been through a street fight.
Brian dragged Howie to the edge of the bed on the floor, then sat on the edge of his own bed, staring at Nick. None of the boys talked.
Out of nowhere, Brian fell to the floor on his knees and started yelling as well as crying.
"Nick, don't go, please don't go! Come back! You can't leave me here like this! Please..."
The last word he said was barely a whimper. He made a slight jerk and tumbled to the floor in front of the door. Nick looked at Brian with tears in his eyes, zipped his bag, and AJ walked over to him, embracing him in a brotherly hug.
"Take care lil buddy."
Next was Kevin. He stood up and patted Nick's head a little, showing a little smile.
"Don't forget us."
Nick smiled a small smile in return and nodded. He walked up to Howie and squeezed him tight.
"Thanx bro... for everything."
"No prob."
Nick picked up his Nike bag and walked over to the door where Brian was laying, his whole body trembling whenever he took a breath. He kicked his sneaker lightly. Brian looked up at Nick's tall figure with red, bloodshot eyes, breathing heavily.
"Bye 'Rok. I'll see ya around. I'll miss you."
And with that Nick was gone. He walked out the open door, out the back and called a cab. When he was in the cab, he turned around and looked into te window of their hotel room.
"Bye."
