"And when we come back, we'll reveal the truth about those rumors that Kevin is now a father, so stick around," said Carson.
"And we're off!" said someone.
"Okay, Drew," said Hilary (I had learned her name). "After we come back from commercial, Carson's going to ask Kevin. He'll confirm that rumors and then you go on. Car will ask you a few questions and then we'll go to the next video. After that, you're done. You can just sit back and watch."
"Sounds like a plan," I said.
"Good; you're going to be great."
"And we're back!" said Carson enthusiastically. "And I'm going to ask this guy, right over here," he pointed at Dad, "about a rumor that's been going around. Kevin, is it true that you have adopted a kid?"
"Yeah," said Dad. "Her name's Drew and she's here."
"All right. Drew come on out."
I walked out and one of the stage crew members set up a chair for me and I sat down. Carson asked me some questions, like 'what's it like having Kevin as a dad?' (He always acted like one, so the only real difference is I live in his house) and 'where'd you meet him?' (You should know that one.) After that, they started a video and I was done. I walked off of the stage and sat down next to Sholanda.
"You were great!" she said.
"Thanks. How do you think the fans will react?"
"Wait and see. You just have to be patient."
If there's one thing I'm not good at, it's being patient.
