'Welcome to the 45th Grammys!' read the banner outside the Shrine Auditorium in California.
Caroline, Joey, and I were waiting for the guys to arrive. They hadn't found a partner for Joey yet so just the three of us came down. As we watched, the large stretch limo pulled up and out stepped the remaining members of *NSYNC with their families or for Lance, girlfriend. Alicia, Andrienne, and Little Joey were also there.
They had all changed in the last year.
First came Justin with Rose and Bryan. Rose and Justin held Bryan's hand as he walked down the red carpet in a tux to match Justin's. After Joey's death, Justin had become an album producer and was in the middle of his first major project.
Next was Lance with his girlfriend, Amelia. He was opening up a riding center and Amelia was one of the the trainers.
Then came Chris. He was a psychiatrist. His therapy was a bit off the wall but hey, it's Chris! Neve was pregnant.
Last was JC, with Naomi, Alee, and Devon. JC was a successful songwrite for RCA.
They all walked down the red carpet.
*NSYNC was nominated for Best Record of the Year with Memories of Ours.
