Gwen woke up the next morning to the sound of the shower running. She sat up and looked at the clock on the table. Almost noon. Gwen laid back down and closed her eyes. The shower stopped and a minute later, the phone rang. She heard JC running to get it.
"Hello?" he asked.
"Hi Chris. Yeah. No. I'm going to ask Gwen to go with me."
'Go with him where?' Gwen thought.
"Yeah, she's over here. It's not what you think. She just crashed here cause she was tired. You and the guys need to get a life," JC told Chris. "If all you do is talk about me and my love interest, you really need to get a life."
JC started to talk about other things but Gwen was still thinking about his last comment. Love interest? She was his love interest? She hadn't really thought of that possibility. 'He's cute,' she thought.
All JC had on was a towel and his hair was still wet from the shower. His back was to her and Gwen studied him. Strong shoulders. Nice body.
As her eyes got closer to where the towel was, she noticed something. JC had a group of freckles that was shaped like…she leaned in closer. They were shaped like a heart. Gwen wanted to reach out and touch it, but she didn't. She laid back against the pillows.
"No Chris. I'm taking Gwen with me. Good bye." JC hung up the phone.
"Where are you taking me?" asked Gwen. JC jumped and turned around.
"I was wondering if you wanted to come with me to the humane society to get a dog."
"Really? I'd love to."
"Good. I'll go get dressed. Then we can eat and go."
"Can I take a shower first? I can just put these clothes back on."
"You can take a shower but you can wear some of my stuff. We're about the same height. I'll start brunch while you're in the shower."
"Kay."
JC went in his room and changed quickly.
"All yours," he said when he came back out.
"Thanks."
Gwen went into his room and picked out a pair of black pants . She had two tops on and she could wear the second one.
While she was in the shower, Gwen thought about what JC had said.
After she got out, she got dressed in the black pants and put on her own blue camouflage tank top. Then she went into the kitchen. JC was at the stove with his back to her.
"What you making?" she asked. She walked over to him and stood next to him, right next to the wall.
"Pancakes."
"How about scrambled eggs?"
"You can make some."
So, Gwen took out some eggs and some stuff that she needed.
JC watched Gwen as she walked over to the fridge. She was wearing a pair of his pants and a tank top that had to be hers. It was a little short and showed off her stomach a little. He liked it so much, he could have grabbed her, right then and there. Instead, he watched as she came back over to the stove and started to make the eggs.
Gwen and JC were standing next to each other, very, very close. Their hips were almost touching. JC kept looking at the spot where he could see Gwen's stomach. He just couldn't resist. He tickled her, quick.
"Hey!" Gwen objected. JC gave her his best innocent look but she didn't fall for it. She tickled him.
Soon, they were raged in a full tickle war.
"JC,"Gwen managed threw her laughter. "The stuff's going to burn."
JC reached over and turned over the burners, giving Gwen the advantage she needed. She poled him square in the stomach and started to tickle him more. JC grabbed her hands and held them against the wall.
"Ha," he said, breathing heavily and smiling.
Gwen tried to break lose but was unsuccessful. JC moved his face closer to her.
"You're never going to get free," he told her and then laughed. Then JC stopped and looked at her.
He realized how close he was to Gwen. Their bodies were almost touching and his lips were only millimeters from hers. JC could fell his heart pounding in his chest and he saw that Gwen was breathing heavy.
JC let go of Gwen's hands. Instead of starting to tickle him again, she put them around his neck. Gwen moved her face the few millimeters and they kissed. The first was a quick one.
Gwen looked at JC and smiled. He smiled back. JC put his arms around her waist and they kissed again. They pressed up against each other. JC, not being able to resist, softly stroked the skin on Gwen's stomach. She pushed him away gently.
"No touching like that, hon," she said.
"Okay," he said, smiling.
"So, am I more than a love interest now?"
His eyes widened and then he turned bright red.
"You heard that?"
"Yep. I woke up before you even got out of the shower."
"Well, then, yeah, you are more than a love interest."
"Good."
Gwen kissed him on the lips and took the eggss over to the table.
