Two days later, the seven friends were all at JC's house.
"I can't believe that Howie's dead now, too," said AJ. He hadn't recovered in the least bit, yet.
"I know," said Chris.
"I just don't get it!" exploded JC. "What did we do? What did Justin or Lance or Howie do to deserve this? This isn't right!"
If Howie would have been there, he would have told JC to settle down. Even Kevin, who would usually be in charge, didn't tell JC to calm down. Because he knew that JC was right.
"I wonder if it's over," Brian said softly.
The others looked at him. They knew it wasn't over.
"It's not over," she said. She was watching them from the window, as she had been for awhile. "And you," she siad, pointing to another one of the guys, "are next."
