About half an hour later, the ten of them were at Nick's house. Nick put in the DVD of X-Files adn played it from the beginning so the guys could see exactly what the black oil was capable of.
"This is the beginning of the black oil on Earth," explaied Nick.
"Shut up!" said Chris.
Nick obeyed. They were all silent for the entire movie. They realized that this was what had been in the water fountain. Something weird was going on.
"That was the stuff in the fountain," said JC after the movie had ended.
The others had all known this, of course, but none of them had wanted to say it, sorta hoping that if they didn't say it, it wouldn't come true.
"But who would try to do this?" asked Kevin.
The guys started a long descussion of possiblities.
