The next day, AJ and Nick hung out at Nick's playing video games and watching movies, trying to forget about Justin and Lance. AJ didn't usually play video games but he was willing to do anything.
That night, they thought it would be a good idea to go out to a club. They called up the other guys and they all agreed to meet at the club at 7:30. AJ was going to pick up Howie on his way there because Howie's car was in the shop.
AJ walked out of Nick's house, to his car. He checked the backseat, unawear that Justin had done the same thing just before he had died. AJ got into the car and started it. He tested the breaks and, when he was sure that they were working, he started for Howie's house.
When he got there, he turned off the car and walked up the sidewalk to the front door. He saw that it was open, which was weird because Howie never left his door open.
"D?" AJ called out as he entered the house. He could hear the TV blaring from the living room so he headed that way.
When he entered the room and saw Howie, he doubled over as though some one had pounched him in the stomach. He threw up at the sight of all the blood. After he had finished, he got up and stumbled towards the kitchen and phone.
