Over the next month, Nick tried to find a girlfriend. No one was any good. For some reason, he kept getting these really weird girls. For example, he had gone on a date with this girl who had recognized him. They had just gone to a movie and dinner. Every single sentence she said started and ended with 'Nick Carter.' It drove him crazy.
So one night, Brian, who had heard every single story and they were starting to drive him crazy, told Nick to come with him to see Leigh Anne (B-rok's girlfriend), who was in a play. It was the closing night and all of the others had already seen it. Nick agreed, hoping for a normal night.
The play started and, as soon as Leigh Anne came out, Brian sat up a little straighter and smiled a bit. Nick wished he had that. Then he looked at the stage and saw her.
It was the girl he had almost hit that night, after the club.
"B-rok," he whispered. "Brian." He poked Brian in the side.
"What?" he whispered back, not looking away from the stage.
"That girl. The brunette."
"What about her?"
"She's the girl I almost hit. Remember? The one I told you about."
"The one that wasn't wet and knew your name?"
"Yes. That's her."
"How can you be so sure?"
"It's not like I'm going to forget someone I almost runover," he hissed and got shushed by everyone sitting around him. "Have you met her?" he asked, quietly.
"Yeah."
"What's he name?"
"Ariana Skyles."
"Wow. Pretty name."
Nick finally shut up, allowing Brian to fully concentrate on Leigh Anne.
"Ariana Skyles' Nick thought. She had seemed all right when he her but he didn't know it he wanted to ask her out. She was an actress so maybe he could… He'd have to think about that later. If he got to meet her after the show, maybe he could get her phone number. He wondered it she would be willing. Nick decided to think about it after the show.
