After the concert was over, Ally and Jasmine went to the backstage entrance. Ally walked up to the door guarded by a bodyguard.
"Q?" asked Ally. "Can Jasmine have a pass?"
"Can I trust her?"
"How many of the fans that have passes can you trust?" Ally asked. "But yes you can. She's not going to try to strip Nick or anything.
"I guess."
He gave Jasmine a backstage pass and she put it around her neck. Ally led her down a hall to a door. She knocked.
"Guys? Can I come in? Are you all presentable?"
"Yes," they heard an eager Brian yell and Nick yell, "We'll never be presentable." The girls laughed and Ally opened the door.
"Hi guys," Ally said as Brian swept her up in a hug. "This is…"she started but then she started to kiss Brian.
"Jasmine," she said, holding her hand out to shake Howie's hand; he was the closest.
"Hi," said Howie.
Jasmine shook his hand and moved to the next guy, Nick. He was sort of staring at her.
"Do you have a problem?" asked Jasmine, as she shook his hand.
"Not really; you just seem really calm. Usually fans are nervous."
"Why? Anyway, after you meet Antonio Freeman, you don't really care how famous someone is."
"Antonio Freeman?" asked Kevin, interested. Everyone else in the room groaned.
"Yeah. You know #86 on the Green Bay Packers, wide receiver, he had a touchdown in Super Bowl XXXI?"
"I know. You got to meet Antonio Freeman?"
"Yeah. Back home. I got his autograph. Why do you care?"
"Kevin is a big Packer fan," explained Brian. "He took us to Super Bowl XXXI.."
"That would have been so cool. I loved that touchdown that Andre Rison had." Jasmine turned to AJ. "Don't you talk?"
The others laughed.
"Usually, I don't shut up."
"Then why did you?"
"No reason."
Truth was, AJ was studying her. She was short, only a couple of inches over five feet. Her red curly hair was pulled back in a ponytail.
"Ally said that you like Shakespeare. What's your favorite play?"
Jasmine and AJ moved off to a corner of the room as they started to talk about Shakespeare's plays and poems.
