Chapter 10

"You guys were so much fun though!" Hathor said. "I loved going on the road with you."

"Yeah, but weren't we a little annoying?"

"You were really annoying but it was still so much fun." Hathor was still at Ringo's. They were sharing a bag of popcorn and sodas. "Plus, I don't think anyone waited so long to make their last wish. It was over two months!"

"We didn't want to get rid of you," Ringo told her. "Plus, John had a little thing for you."

"Really? God, John Lennon had a crush on me! But seriously, the first two were done so quickly, I figured I'd be back in my lamp within 48 hours."

"We knew what we wanted," Ringo insisted. "Just didn't want to get rid of you."

The first two wishes that Hathor had granted for the Beatles were fame in the UK and then fame in the US. The final one, which had taken them ten weeks after the first two, granted with in a day of each other, was a number one hit. After it had been granted, Hathor had gone into the lamp.

After the soda and popcorn was gone, Hathor decided she need to leave.

"Gonna go nag the blondie?" Ringo asked her.

"Yeah, probably. It's sorta fun. But I don't want to be doing it for the rest of eternity."

"You won't have to," he reassured her. "Just until he dies."

"Ha ha," Hathor said, sticking out her tongue, but she was a blond right now. Happy as ever. "I gotta go." The two friends bid good bye and Hathor left.

She reappeared in Nick's house, the kitchen of course. As a reflex, she turned on the radio and cranked it on an oldies station. As she was belting Ain't no mountain high enough! the radio suddenly went silent.

"Hey!" she objected.

Nick still stood by the radio. "I've decided what my first wish is going to be."
