Chapter 6

Later that night, I was in the house I was sharing with my four other friends who were training the guys.

"So, how was the first day?" asked Hannah. We were all in the hot tub in the backyard, relaxing. Meredith had sent the guys back quick before, to unfreeze time and give them an excuse to be gone.

"I don't see why I got stuck with the little kid," complained Tajae. She was an expert with mummies and was in charge of training Nick. "I would rather have gotten one of the others."

"AJ's not that much older," Raven told her. She knew everything about phantoms so she was in charge of AJ.

"But Nick acts like a little kid," Tajae told her. "I wish I could be a werewolf or two-minder expert. Brian and Kevin are so much better looking."

"They're cousins," Hannah told her. She was training Brian.

"They are?" I asked. "Kev didn't tell me that."

"Yeah. Brian's dad and Kevin's mom are brother and sister."

"Well, I think Howie's pretty cool," said Niki. "He even speaks Spanish."

"I'm sure that will come in handy," I said sarcastically. "I mean, every vampire should learn Spanish so they can lure in their prey."

We all laughed.

"I don't really think it's going to be that bad," said Raven.

"I hope not," said Tajae.
