"Raven and I went outside to find Jezebel and Kevin. They were on the lawn and Jezebel was trying to teach Kevin to fly," AJ explained again. "Raven asked if I could try something on them."
"This something being reading both of their minds at once, correct?"
"Yes. Jezebel said yes so I got to work. You know, I got all set up and started. I was going through their thoughts when it happened. Raven said that Jezebel reached out and touched Kevin on the arm. That was when I felt this really strong connection. I got this mental image of the two of them. They were reaching out to each other and everything was moving really slow. First, their fingertips touched, then their hands and their fingers intertwined with each other. When you looked at their hands, you couldn't tell where one person ended and the other began. When you looked at the full picture that's what it was like. They were one person."
Meredith nodded slowly as it all sunk it. AJ looked at her for an explanation of what this meant. When she realized that he was looking at her, she looked up.
"You want to know what it means?"
AJ nodded.
"In simple terms, they are Ones. They're soulmates. They're meant to be together for the rest of their lives. They feel each other's pain. Without the other, they feel incomplete. As you said, they are one."
"Wow."
"Yep."
