     In 1st. Corinthians 15:58 it says " Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. " We christians really need to take heed to this command. So many of us have lost family & friends. Many of us are going through troublesome times with our spouses, children, parents, friends, & neighbours. The flesh, the world & the devil fighting with us trying to get us to give up. But if we give up we are saying God isn't greater and we all know that God is all powerful, and his love endureth forever. In 1st. John 4:4 it says " Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world. " No matter how bad things may seem if we continue serving the Lord and not falling to the temptations of giving up or getting our eyes off the Lord and trying to take things into our own hands it will work out. God will fullfill his promises, if we are faithfull to his commands. Don't give up, it will be worth it! In James 4:7-8 it says " Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. " If we submit to God the devil will flee, but 1st we have to submit to God. Submitting is just doing what his word says. This is not easy, in the flesh when someone doesn't treat us right our flesh doesn't want to be nice. But remember he that is in you (Holy Spirit) is greater than he that is in the world. Listen for and to the still small voice of God and submit, then the temptation will leave. Draw nigh to God and he will draw nigh to you, then you will have the strength from God to be stedfast. In Isaiah 40:31 it says " But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. " In Galatians 6:9 it says " And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. " Don't give up, the Lord is with you, he hasn't left. You need to let him control and guide you or you will never reap and always feel that he's not with you. In Isaiah 41:10 it says " Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. " I think of Job, everything he went through and he just kept serving the Lord, and in the end he received more than he had to begin with. I also think of Paul, and everything he went through he just kept putting the Lord first. In 1st. Thessalonians 5:18 it says " In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. " Don't give up, there is a reason you and I are going through what we are. We only see right now, but God sees the whole picture finished. I grew up unsaved I got saved when I was 24 2 days before my oldest daughters 1st birthday and I won't let the world, the flesh and the devil win. I'm going to keep on keeping on so my kids can know what it is like to live for our Lord and saviour that they don't get mixed up in the things I did. Don't give up the Lord can and will work miracles just trust him!

      My prayer is that the Lord opens your ears like he did for me in this area of my walk with him. I was so excited when the Lord opened my eyes to see my labour is not in vain. Praise God! Neither is yours! Amen!
