Because Roman Catholics (among others) reject concepts such as salvation is by grace through faith alone but instead cling to the teaching that one must "merit" one's entry into heaven, they believe in Conditional Security. It is recommended, therefore, that you acquaint yourself with Roman Catholicism. Please further note that many proponents of eternal security tend to be Calvinists; I regard Calvinism as being another false teaching. I do not consider myself to be an "Arminian," either. Unlike some, I do not make a distinction between the terms "eternal security" and "once saved always saved." To me, they both mean the same thing.

Conditional security rejects God's grace and the role of faith in the salvation process by making salvation and the possession of it ultimately dependent upon the works (or lack of works) of the believer, and so it is a false gospel
