Chapter Two

Late that night Tay and Zac were home alone watching TV and waiting for Ike to come home from a date so they could do some late night jamming. Walker and Diana were at the movies, Zoe was upstairs sleeping (so I guess they weren't home alone) and the others were all spending the night at friends' houses.

"Tay- what did you think of that girl at the stables today?" Zac asked.

"She's a little young for me Zac - but maybe you might have a shot…"Tay laughed.

"No," Zac gave him a stiff glare. "I meant about her riding alone and stuff."

"Maybe she didn't know the rule," Taylor suggested.

"Yeah…but at the accident…" Zac stopped abruptly as Tay looked at him surprised and confused. Zac hadn't told anyone about the accident.

"What accident?" Tay asked suspiciously.

"No big deal," Zac said simply. "I'm fine."

"What happened?"

"I almost got hit by a car." Zac stopped briefly, then continued. "But there was a girl there and I know it was the same one as from the stables!"

"Whay didn't you tell anyone?"

"I'm telling you now aren't I?" Zac yelled, forgetting about Zoe sleeping upstairs. He didn't want to talk about the accident. He wanted to figure out who the girl was.

"So maybe it was just some crazed fan following you."

"Maybe…" Zac said. But the feeling in the pit of his stomach told him that that wasn't it.

Just then, Ike came home. Tay quickly told him about the accident, and Zac had to answer some more questions. He never got around to figuring out who the girl was.
