Coaldale, where I now live. Missing are the amenities of fast food places and shopping malls. It was founded in 1827 and as of 1999, it has a population of approximately 2,567 souls. Once a thriving coal mining town, sleepy Coladale borough rests at the eastern edge of Schuylkill county in Pennsylvania.
Coaldale is also the home of the Miners Memorial Medical Center which dates back to 1907.... and the home of the "Mad Hawaiian."
