SHOOTING IN PARADISE

The morning of November 2,1999, will forever be burned into my memory.

Ford's life, along with six of his friends and co-workers were suddenly and deliberately taken from them..and for what reason? SEVEN innocent men!!!

I am bitter, and outraged that this man took it upon himself  to play God and  put an end to the lives of the ones we loved. These men... they were our sons.. brothers... husbands and fathers.

Seven men; forever gone. Shocked, we ask, NO! we demand, "what the hell went wrong?" There are no easy answers to this tragedy, only a difficult question, "WHY?"   

It would have been less painful for everyone if this "miserable excuse for a human being" put the gun to his head.

Ford and Brice were very close, now how do you tell a 5 year old boy his daddy won't be coming home anymore? How do you make him understand? How do you make any five year old that has gone through this horrible experience understand that daddy no longer will be there for him?

And how can you make his mommy understand why the only man she ever loved was taken away from her...And for that matter, how can we all understand?

Ford was a good friend and son... He was a loving and faithful husband and if ever a child had the perfect father, he was the man.... If I could find any fault in him.. it was going to work that morning......  I will miss you Ford. And I will keep asking, "WHY?"
