Media Services The Kwajalein Hourglass is a primary source of information for residents. Download time is long, but worth the wait. The Kwajalein Hourglass Online Ten television and four radio stations serve Kwajalein (and Ebeye). They're operated by AFN Kwajalein, a part of the Armed Forces Radio and Television Service(AFRTS). All stations are available 24/7. Popular stateside television programming is available, but often broadcast months after being aired in the states. News and sports are shown live when possible. The time difference can make live programming difficult. NFL football at noon (CST) Sunday is 6:00am Monday morning for us! AFRTS Home Page | AFN Kwajalein Information The phone system on Kwajalein is modern, with few of the extra features found in the states. Due to a very limited number of lines, placing and receiving off-island calls can be frustrating at times. There's also the occasional call from someone at 3:00 in the morning, who doesn't realize or has forgotten about the time difference.
