NARRATOR: Our heros coninue on with their journey to Cinnabar Island after parting with their friend, Snap.
SETTING: Ash, Misty, Brock, and Pikachu are walking along a trail in a forest while Brock is looking at his map while navagating and Ash, Pikachu, and Misty are following. Togepi is in Misty's arms.
MISTY: So Brock. Where are we heading to now?
BROCK: I'm trying to find Palm Beach.
ASH: Palm Beach? I thought we were going to Cinnabar.
BROCK: Yeah, but Palm Beach has a boat shop where we'll have to get a boat which will get us to Cinnabar.
MISTY: A boat!? Ooooooooh! I love boat rides!!
PIKACHU: Pika Pika.(Agreeing with Misty)
ASH: I don't know. That little experience with St. Anne knida got me scared of boat rides.
MISTY: Oh, grow up ,Ash! Not every boat you step on will collapse.
ASH: (low vioce)*Just the ones YOU step on.*
MISTY: (yelling)WHAT DID YOU SAY!?
ASH: (scared)Nothing... hee hee!
BROCK: Alright guys!! We're here!
They all run into the cabin-like boat shop which looks kind of run down. Brock slowly opens the door.
ASH: Hello! Anyone here?
MISTY: We'd like to get a boat, please!
PIKCHU: Pikachu-Pi! (calling out)
BROCK: I don't think anyone is here.
TOGEPI: (scared)Prrrreeeee!!
MISTY: It's pretty dark in here. Togepi's scared. Are you sure this is the place, Brock?
BROCK: The sign outside said it is. I better get my flashlight.
There is a pause as they look around the main room.
BROCK: Hey guys! Come and look at this. (He points to a picture on the wall)
The picture shows the sea at a sunset and there is a silhouette of a giant bird with a long tail flying across.(Articuno)
MISTY: What is it?
ASH: I think it's a Pokémon.
MISTY: It looks so beautiful. I wonder who took the picture?
BROCK: It couldn't have been Snap, he would have shown it to us.
VOICE: Arrgh! T'was I who took the picture.
ASH: (scared)Uhhhh! Who said th-that?
The lights in the room all turn on to reveal the man.
ASH,MISTY,BROCK: Ahhhhhh! It's a pirate!!!
MAN: Arrgh! A pirate I am not. A retired sailor maybe, but not a pirate. Sorry to scare you but I was asleep in the back room and wasn't expecting customers.
MISTY: Oh! I'm sorry. We must waken you up.
MAN: Not a problem. The name's Josh. Joshua Davy Douglas.
ASH: Well Josh, sorry for the intrusion. You kinda scared us.
MISTY: Us!? I wasn't scared at all. I knew all along he was the store keeper.
BROCK: Me too.
PIKACHU: Ka-Chu.
ASH: (depressed)Thanks the the support, guys.
JOSH: I see you noticed my picture.
BROCK: Yeah. What is that?
JOSH: I'm not too sure myself. It all started on an evening a few weeks ago and I was hauling in fish and I fell asleep. I woke up shortly to find this bird flying across the sky. Luckly, I had the camera me brother gave me for my birthday and I was able to gets its picture just before it disappeared over Seafoam Islands.
BROCK: The must have been great.
JOSH: I would imagine! Ever since I hung up this picture, tourists from everywhere come here to rent my boats to go to seafoam amd find the legendary bird.
ASH: Did anyone have any luck?
JOSH: No. But as long as people keep trying and keep renting my boats then I'm content.
ASH: Well I guess we'll just be renting our boat now and get a move on.
BROCK: Uh, Ash! Take a look out the window.
(Ash looks outside)
ASH: Oh, no! It's already evening. The Pokémon Center will be closed by the time we get to Cinnabar.
MISTY: And then we'll have to camp out again and I hate camping because bugs always get in my hair!
JOSH: Well. You guys can always stay here for the night. I always have room for guests.
ASH: That would be great. Right Pikachu?
PIKACHU: Pikachu.
Ash and his friends are then shown the their rooms.
