Many of you are great detectives! If you didn't get it right don't feel bad though, a lot of people didn't. I hope it wasn't too difficult!
The Solution:
Muk couldn't do it. As Muk itself said, it doesn't have the feet to make the footprints with.
Pikachu had been on your desk, but it was only playing with the ketchup. It was too weak to move the clutter away.
Squirtle, like Sandshrew said, had been splashing around the water tank. When you returned he had been busily trying to clean it up.
Abra woke up in the middle of all of this, but it was too sleepy to really care. It went back to sleep after a few minutes.
Sandshrew was rolling around on the floor near your desk. It isn't much of an excuse, but it wasn't him.
Magikarp has no feet, and it's in the fish tank. It couldn't get out ^-^
Meowth He was right when he said he couldn't see the face of the one who made the mess ,because there were no mirrors around! Perhaps you also noticed the water beneath his paws??? He had washed off the ink in the puddle that Squirtle made.
