Pam's Page- You want a great accountant...well here she is!
As you already know, Pam is my best friend....and while that is important,
she is so much more. She is like the sister that I never had!
Pam was born on the 22nd March 1974, to parents Michael and Carolanne. She has an older
sister, Liesl (29), who is also like another sister to me, but in ways I won't
disclose here! She has a younger brother Michael Jnr (22), who is a real sweetheart. Watch out
girls! All of these wonderful people are like a second family to me!
I met Pam when we were in year six at St Brigid's Primary School in ACT.We
went on to high school together, but I moved to Brisbane at the end of year nine.
We have kept in touch ever since! At the end of year 12, Pam went OS to Germany and travel
around Europe.
Pam then went on to study her Bachelors degree at University of Canberra and graduated (1995) with a
Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting). She was working part time with her dad in his accounting business during school and university
and then went to full time. She became an Associate member of the CPAs. She became a fully fledged CPA in 1997. Pam also finished
her Public Practice Year in 1998 and is now a partner with her dad!
Below is a picture of Pam and I at the end of our tertiary studies (her accounting and my teaching degrees). We shouted each other a week's holiday at Tangalooma Wild Dolphin Resort
on Moreton Island. It was the best time......full of drinking, flirting (we both had boyfriends at the time and wouldn't cheat on them) and relaxing!
In that time (late 1997), Pam met the man of her dreams! I received a phone call one day, with Pam gushing about this man she had met.
To be honest I had never heard Pam speak like this about anyone before! I had to meet this "god" myself!
So at the end of
1998, I headed to Canberra with a mission: to see if this man was good enough for my best friend! The moment I saw the two of them together I
knew that he was the man she would marry! She is now engaged to this fantastic man. Ahmed and Pam are truly
a great couple and I know that they will be so happy together! They are heading to Egypt in June 2000 to get married! So I am also saving
my pennies to go over too!
So there you have it! A short biography on my best friend! She is truly the greatest! I want to say a big to
Pam and Ahmed for taking me under their wings recently when I needed some time to sort myself out! You two are pure angels!
