| Who is that mysterious,beautiful
lady with the long, green hair you ask? She is Meiou Setsuna, also know
as the mysterious warrior, Sailor Pluto. Setsuna is the oldest senshi,
being the only one who was not reincarnated after the battle in the silver
millenium. Setsuna's role is to be the guardian of the gates of time, and
to keep any evil from getting through. In important circumstances she must
leave the gates to help the senshi. It is assumed that something very bad
is going to happen when Sailor Pluto shows up.
At the end of the SM R series she appears in Rini/Chibi-usa's Luna P ball, telling the senshi that Chibi-Usa was having an awful nightmare, and to save her, they must transport themselves into the dream and fight the battle there. She is also lets the senshi through the time portal to save future crystal Tokyo. In the S series she appears shortly after Chibi-usa's return. She and the outer senshi (Neptune and Uranus) team up to try and find the Messiah. The Garnet Orb on the end of her staff is the third talisman that Sailor Neptune and Uranus had been looking for, along with Neptune's talisman (a mirror), Uranus' talisman (a small sword) they combine to create the holy grail (sacred cup) which Sailor Moon uses to transform to her Super level. Although forbidden, at one time she stops time to save Neptune and Uranus from being killed, and therefore she returns to the gates for a period of time. From what I've read and heard, she doesn't appear in the Super S series (as it's assumed she is dead), but she makes a startling appearance in Sailor Stars, where she comes back with baby hotaru. I have not seen the Super S or Sailor Stars series yet =( but when I do I'll add it. I'd also like to have info on the manga, but I haven't read it either *cries*. Why do I like Setsuna? I like her because she's so mysterious and beautiful. She is naturally more mature than the other senshi, and cares a lot about her friends (i.e. Chibi-Usa). I am also fascinated by her powers, having the ability to stop time is incredible! Even though she is not shown much, she plays an important role as a senshi, and as a second mother to Chibi-usa when she is visiting the 20th century. It's too bad Naoko Takeuchi didn't make a man for her to be in love with =(. Although it's rumored that she loved Endymion, I believe that she just admired him, or was fascinated by him to a large extent, but I do not believe she would want to intefere with Endymion and Serenity's relationship. I also like her because rumour has it that her name maybe Susan if they ever dub the S series , and that's my name =). ********************************************************************************** |
