This episode starts off with Misty saying that Ash isn't skilled enough. Then Snap tells Ash about a test for Pokémon Master Wannabe's. It's a test that you can take that can get you straight to the Pokémon League, if you pass it. So Ash decides to try it.
Ash goes to the testing place and signs up. It seems like Team Rocket is also signing up for the test. They are in desgises though. The Nurse Joy from Fushia City is also signing up.
The first test is a true or false test, then there is a what's that Pokémon Test which is really hard. Jesse gets really mad at the examener, because the questions are so hard, well she storms out so she is discolafied from the test. They check the scores so far, and it seems like Ash is one of the people with the lowest score.
The next test is battling. First Nurse Joy battles, and she does really good. Then James battles. The first pokéball he throws ends up to be a Pikachu!! Well James is really happy about that. The examiner that's fighting him sends out a Gravaller though. So Pikachu's electricity does nothing. So James gets mad, and throws his other 2 pokémon at the same time. The 2 other Pokémon end up being Charizard, and Ivysaur. Well it's against the rules to fight with more then one Pokémon at the same time, so James gets discolafied. Then it's Ash's turn to battle.
The examiner first uses a Flarion. Ash's first Pokémon is a Wezzing!! Well Wezzing beats Flarion. Then the examiner uses a Joltion. Ash ends up with an Arbok!! Well Joltion beats Arbok. Then the examiner uses a Vaporion. Well can you guess what Ash got next? He got a Meowth!! Well Vaporeon beats Meowth.
After that battle Team Rocket comes. They have the Meowth that Ash used, and the Pokémon James had (Ivysaur, Charizard, and Pikachu) and they get them all to attack. Well before they attack the examiner tells them to attack Team Rocket and they obay him, because the examiner was the one that trained them. Well Team Rocket gets beaten, and they blast off again.
Well Team Rocket had ended up wreaking the exam, so everyone has to the exam again. The examiner asks if Ash wants to try it again, because he thinks he'll do good this time. Well Ash says he would rather travel araound and collect the rest of the badges he needs. So Ash, Misty, and Brock leave, and they wave goodbye. Then Snap comes out of the exam bilding and shows the examiner Meowth.(The Team Rocket Meowth)Well the examiner wants to keep it. Meowth calls for Jesse, and James, but they are no where to be found.
Then it shows Team Rocket. They are talking to Meowth, who is sitting there cleaning him self. Well Meowth doesn't answer, all he says is "Meowth". Team Rocket is puzzeled about that. So it looks like team Rocket took the wrong Meowth with them!! THE END
