The Ultralisk may be a biological unit, but for general purposes you can consider it a powerful tank. With its 400 hit points, the Ultralisk is a powerhouse that can take down medium-sized enemy units easily. Although it's slow, it should be a part of every balance strike force.
The Ultralisk's one limitation is that it's a big unit, and if many small units (such as Zerglings) attack it at once, it will take far more hits than it has as it destroys the enemy one at a time. For this reason it's often a good idea to keep some support units nearby to back up the Ultralisk if it gets into trouble. Protect your Ultralisk from these kinds of attacks and they can last you an entire scenario.
Some players like to use their Ultralisk for mop-up after flushing the main enemy force from their base. Other units would o most of the fighting while the Ultralisks hang back and wait for the calm. After the situation is stabilized (that is, when all the enemy units are dead), the Ultralisks can come in and make short work of the enemy infrastructure.
Type: Heavy Assault Warrior
Core Genus: Brontolith
Primary Attack: Kaiser Blades
Bearing little resemblance to the docile Brontolith that they were evolved from, the dreaded Ultralisk is the most powerful of the Zerg ground forces. They serve as the backbone of the Swarm's armies and should be considered as a dangerous as any armored vehicle. These massive monstrosities are used as living battering rams against all manner of enemies. The large, bone-like scythes that protrude from their backs are nearly indestructible, allowing them to tear through most known substances with ease. The best way to approach these creatures is from the air.
