Diana's the little grey cat that is guardian of ChibiUsa, future princess of Crystal Tokyo, and the kawaii daughter of Luna and Artemis. Diana is the innocent little cat who's constantly asking *innocent* questions, and tries to act mature like her mother. Diana makes her first debut in the manga in Volume #5 (SMR). In the anime, she doesn't appear until episode #133 (SMSS). She basically replaces the Virtual Kitty, known as Luna-P. Like her parents, she becomes human in the manga (not in the anime). In volume #15 of the manga, Diana first gets transformed into a human. However, Diana is transformed into a little girl, about Chibiusa's age with a tail! Luna is a descendant of the planet Mau, as is Artemis. It is debateable weather or not Luna was originally human. She came to the moon as an advisor to Queen Serenity and aide to the Princess. Luna was reincarnated along with Artemis and the people of the moon during the Fall of the Silver Millennium. She was sent to the future in the 20th century. It was Luna's mission to reunite the Sailor Senshi Team, and reawaken Princess Serenity. Unbeknown to Luna, Tsukino Usagi, WAS that Princess. In the future; Thirtieth Century Crystal Tokyo; Luna becomes the mother of a small gray kitten, whom we know as Diana (=^.^=), the father being none other than Artemis. Artemis is Minako's guardian. He's a white cat with green eyes (magna) / blue eyes (anime). He is responsible for the training of Sailor V / Sailor Venus. Artemis often comes off as a little vain, and laid-back when compared to Luna. Although he tries, Artemis just can't seem to make Luna notice him. Or, at least, it appears that way. Luna won't admit it, but, she KNOWS Artemis likes her, and she returns the favour. In the future, Artemis is the father of Diana, the little grey kitten. He constantly tries to prove himself worthy to Luna, and tries to protect her in every way. |
