Reviews

This page is going to consist of reviews that I'm making of whatever movies or albums I can get a hold of. Cinema and music are two fields that I am very in love with, so I feel a need to speak out on them. I'll post the date this thing is last updated on the main page.

Movie: Mission: Impossible 2

Ok. I totally hated the first movie like no tomorrow. I mean, the first one just sucked totally. The plot was strange and hard to follow, the characters were shallow with barely any substance to them, and there was barely anything memorable about it.

The second installment in the Mission: Impossible adventures was different. Not too different. I had some impressive and heart-pacing action sequences. My big quarrel with this is that it is all about John Woo, and not about anything that really has to do with Mission: Impossible. Mission: Impossible was an excuse for John Woo to make a blockbuster American movie. It was alot more simplistic than the first, that's a good thing, but the plot seemed like an excuse to do some really neato action sequences, but I did not think they were cool enough to save the movie. Overall, I just thought it was overrated.

Movie: Shanghai Noon I thought that this movie was right up there with Rush Hour. While the acting is anything but top-notch, it had kept a good base of fundemental story elements to it. The movie was hilarious, with some incredible action sequences, while still paying attention to what was happening story wise, which I can't agree with for M:I2. There's not much else I can say about it, but Jackie Chan does very well in this film, but Owen Wilson is just kind of too Disney. overall, it's not a bad movie to see with your younger brother. It's just fun.

One of the best movies I have ever witnessed. I think it may be the best movie I've ever been to. I really dn't want to give away too much, but it is an incredible movie that has the ability to change everything you percieve. Even if you dont' have anyone to go with, see it. It may even be better to see alone. When was the last time you went to see a movie by yourself? After I walked out of the theatre, all I could say was "wow". Everything about this movie is incredible, and I hope that you see it before it is out of theatres. See it today, or tomorrow. I'd appreciate it if you guys would e-mail me when you see it, cause I really want to know wha tyou thought of it. Also, it's been voted by critics and fans as the second best movie in all of history. It's gotta be good right? Please see this movie, it should be a law or something.

Video: Drunken Masters II

Yahoo! This is the best Jackie Chan movie I've ever seen. If you are a martial arts fan, I reccomend this movie above all martial arts films. this movie made me think of Jackie Chan as a more skilled martial artist than I did previously. I thought the fight scenes were even better than the ones used in the Matrix! The plot line is really hard to understand, probably because hte subtitles are hard to read, but who cares? Jackie takes on about 200 axe weilding misfits! It has some truly awesome and impressive moments. Do not watch this movie for its content, because I assure you, it is unsatisfactory, but the level of choreography and stunts put in is truly astounding.
