Little Mermaid Cake The mermaid's sand dune was made by putting a cake shaped like a ball cut in half on top of the base cake. This cake is frosted with brown icing and then brown sugar is "patted" carefully into the frosting to look like sand. Best of all, the sand is edible ! |

Hot Air Balloon Cake
This cake is not as hard to make as it looks. All you need to do is get a large hellium filled balloon, ribbon and a few small dowel rods from the craft store. Tie the ribbon together in an X shape on top of the balloon leaving plenty of length to attach to the four corners of the cake. Then tie one ribbon around the center of the balloon to the four hanging ribbons to keep the balloon from floating away. Tie the four hanging ribbons to the dowel rods and incert into the cake several inches. Then decorate a square cake to look like the basket. |
