"I wanna dance," Autumn grinned as she placed a hand on Lance's shoulder.
"You wanna dance?" Lance smiled back and began to dance with her.
"Yeah, and you seem like a good dancer," Autumn peered up at him.
"You've never seen us in a live show. I can't dance to save my life, it's Justin and JC that dance," Lance smiled.
Autumn shrugged. "Maybe, but can they be nice, formal southern gentlemen?"
"How do you know I'm even southern?" Lance countered.
"I'm smart. And you have an accent," Autumn shrugged as she twirled away from Lance, and then twirled back in, making the shrug almost unnoticeable.
"Oh, you cheated," Lance laughed.
Autumn laughed. "I do what I gotta do."
Lanec eyed her, nodding. "I believe it. Bet it runs in the family."
"Of course. How else is Daddy the president?"
"Good point, good point," Lance nodded.
"Dance me over past your buddies, they look confused," Autumn smiled and Lance obliged, slowly leading her past Justin, JC, Chris, and Joey.
"Hey, boys, did you know what a good dancer Lance over here is?" Autumn winked at them, and deftly danced them away. "How long are you guys going to be in D.C.?"
Lance shrugged. "Don't know how long I'll be here. As long as I want to be, I suppose. This is our last performance as a group before our hiatus, which will be three months, for JC and Justin to each do a movie, Chris is going to be working on his FuMan Skeeto clothing line a little more, and Joe's just gonna hang at home with his new baby girl."
"And you?" Autumn asked softly. "What are you going to be doing?"
Lance paused and shrugged. "You know, I'm not sure. I'll definitely visit family, probably towards the end of the hiatus so when we go back on tour, it won't be so long until I see them again. Other than that, I'm open."
"What about your girlfriend?" Autumn asked as the song began to wind down.
"I don't have one," Lance shrugged.
"Oh, not enough time, yeah," Autumn nodded.
"No, there's time, just not the right girl, is all," Lance said. "Yet," He added, looking down into her eyes.
Autumn grinned, her green eyes twinkling. "We'll just have to work on that, won't we?"
Lance nodded, a smile creeping onto his face. "I suppose so."
She laughed at him, then. "You suppose? Ah, you sound like a hick."
"Yes, I suppose," Lance said, in a playful indignant tone. "Where are you from, Ms. Perfect?"
"Santa Monica, California," Autumn smiled. "Not somewhere in Mississippi."
"Well, I'm so flattered you took the time to look up where I come from," Lance replied, easily spinning her under his arm.
"I didn't," Autumn replied as she came back in and placed her arm on Lance's shoulder, her hand resting on the back of his neck. "My cousin is in love with Justin."
"Aw, well, he and Brit just broke up..." Lance trailed off. "How old is she?"
Autumn smirked. "Six."
"Oh, I see," Lance sighed. "Well, they always did say age was nothing but a number." Lance smiled brightly at Autumn, causing her to giggle as the song began to wind down. "You know, Justin's filming here in D.C." He mused a moment later.
"Really?"
"Yeah, for about two months," Lance nodded. "Think we can set your girl up for a date with her idol?"
"You couldn't!" Autumn exclaimed. "Could you?"
Lance nodded. "Yeah, I could. I will if you want."
"Ohmigosh, she'd love that!" Autumn smiled, thinking of how happy the little girl would be.
The song ended, and Autumn reached up to hug Lance. "You are my new hero."
"Oh, but will I ever be replaced?"
"Never," Autumn promised as she stepped out of his comfortable arms.
"Good," Lance laughed lightly. "Because if I am, there's gonna be hell to pay."
Autumn grinned and caught sight of her father signaling for her. "I've got to go, duty calls. I'll catch up with you later, alright?"
Lance nodded. "Yeah, sounds good."
Autumn nodded and then walked smoothly across the room to her father, feeling Lance's eyes follow her all the way there.
"You know her?" Justin's awed voice was unmistakable.
Lance shrugged. "I had to pee," He said as he walked over to join JC, who wouldn't hassle him about dancing with the president's daughter.
Justin stared at Autumn for a moment, then turned to Joey, who was with him. "That's just dirty."
Joey laughed, then eyed Autumn critically. "Maybe, but I'm gonna start drinking more..."
