Chapter 6: Cows!

"He can't!" April gasped for air. "He can't love me!"

Kelsy reached over and hugged April. "I don't know for sure, April, but it's a hunch."

April's hopes rose at the word hunch. Hunch meant no one knew for sure. Hunch was good. April could pretend she didn't know that and everything would be hunky-dory again, just like before.

"Thanks for telling me, Kels," April hugged Kelsy, jumped up, and dug through Josh's bag.

Kelsy, sensing April was in denial, decided to joke about it. "Looking for proof?"

"Nope, our jersey!" April grinned and triumphantly pulled out a black and grey football jersey.

"Oh," Kelsy shrugged as April laid it on her bunk with a pair of grey, skintight cargo bell-bottoms that matched the grey in the jersey perfectly.

"Come on, we got to get ready, tonight's opening night!" Kelsy grinned excitedly and they linked arms for the trip inside to the venue. April laughed when she saw that Josh was still being stopped by fans and pumped for information about the two groups.

Josh looked up and when he saw them, he moved so that when the fans looked at him, their backs would be to the girls, so they could go inside quicker.

Both girls waved and smiled at him gratefully.

"I've got to go, the girls need me to get their outfits together," April heard Josh's voice as the door slammed shut behind her.

The girls headed off towards their dressing rooms to wait for Josh, hoping it was a short wait. They weren't disappointed.

"Ready, Ladies?" Josh grinned. "Figure yourself out through me yet?" Josh winked at April and April blushed furiously.

"Meanie-head," She muttered.

"You know you love me," Josh said, handing April the jeans and baseball shirt he'd cut up and Kelsy her matching outfit.

"Whatever," She said, stripping down to her cow print bra and panties.

"Cows?" Josh asked tugging his T-shirt off.

"I happen to like cows!" April said defensively.

"I do, too," Josh laughed and pointed at his boxers.

"Ohmigosh, they're so adorable," April pranced over to inspect them. "Lemme see!" She said, tugging on a belt loop of his jeans. "How come I haven't seen these before?"

"They're new," Josh laughed and tugged his jeans off so she could see his boxers better.

"Adorable!" She proclaimed, going back to her pile of clothing and tugging on the jeans.

"Thanks," Josh shook his head as Kelsy's dancer Aaron entered the room.

"Hey, there, sexy," Aaron joked.

"Ew, nasty," Kelsy muttered.

Aaron grinned and tipped Kelsy back so far her hair dragged the ground. "You know you're the only one for me, my love," He said dramatically.

"You know you're not the one for me, my dancer," Kelsy grinned.

"She'll come around," Josh joked, pulling on a pair of baggy jeans that were the exact color of the girls' jeans.

"Yeah, and then while you're showing April how to get boy cooties, I can show Kelsy," Aaron shot back.

Josh laughed. "Is this gonna be held over my head forever?"

Although the tone was light, Kelsy saw deep in his eyes he was serious about April. This is going to be a long tour. April thought.

"Probably," Aaron grinned. "I know I'll hold it there forever."

A very long tour, indeed.
