"Bite me!" Josh's voice snapped back.
April grinned at Kelsy and slipped the curtain on Josh's bunk back, bent down, and bit his wrist.
"Ow!" Josh shot straight up and turned to fix a glare on April.
April ran. Aaron flung the door open for her and *N Sync stared on, confused, as April ran by in a pair of silk pajama bottoms and a silk tank top, and Josh chasing after her, clad only in blue plaid boxers.
Josh quickly caught up with her and took her down in the grass. After a few minutes of tickling her, he pulled her over his shoulder and went to the luggage compartment of the bus. He set her down and held her wrists with one hand while he pulled out a squirt gun and then drenched her.
Aaron laughed at April, and Kelsy, catching Josh and Aaron's evil traded look, ran. Although, it didn't take long for Aaron to catch Kelsy, either.
*N Sync, as a group, looked pained.
"This is gonna be an interesting tour," Chris commented.
"You're just now noticing?" JC asked.
"I don't think it'll be so bad," Justin grinned.
"You're stupid like that," Lance said bluntly.
Justin looked hurt.
"You're only seeing the good side. It's not a bad thing, don't worry about it," Lance covered.
Justin brightened. "Ok."
Joey grunted. He was still tired, and clad in only boxers and a Superman tee.
Kelsy screamed as she was carried by.
"I'm wearing white!" The anguished cry reached their ears and they all perked up, rushing over to see her.
Kelsy stopped struggling long enough to glare at the boys of *N Sync. "Cute."
"Won't it be?" JC grinned.
Kelsy lunged suddenly and slid out of Aaron's surprised arms, taking off for the rest stop building.
The elderly and the attendants froze in shock when six boys wearing variations of boxers, t-shirts, and wifebeaters burst in the door after a small girl in Adidas shorts and a white t-shirt. It was, after all, five thirty in the morning.
"Excuse us," JC, ever the polite one, grinned.
Justin nodded. "Yeah, we just want to drench her with a super soaker. It's nothin' serious. Don't worry. We'll bring her back in a jiffy."
"Noooo!" Kelsy's drawn-out scream echoed in the surrouding woods.
Between the six of them, Kelsy was back outside and Josh had the super soaker refilled and ready.
After they had all calmed down and climbed back into the bus to make the rest of the trip to the next venue, all was calm.
"Is every stop gonna be like that?" Kelsy moaned, huddled under Aaron's thick black down jacket.
"It's possible," Aaron shrugged.
"You guys are meanieheads," April pouted from under the blanket she was sharing with Josh.
"And you still love us," Josh replied.
"That's what you think," April replied.
Josh looked hurt, and Kelsy tossed April a look that said, "Quit hurting him!"
Just then the song "Criminal" by Fiona Apple blared out of the radio.
I've been a bad, bad girl
I've been careless with a delicate man
And it's a sad, sad world
When a girl will break a boy
Just because she can
Don't you tell me to deny it
I've done wrong and I want to
Suffer for my sins
I've come to you because I need
Guidance to be true
And I just don't know where to begin
What I need is a good defense
'Cause I'm feeling like a criminal
And I need to be redeemed
To the one I've sinned against
'Cause he's all I ever knew of love
Heaven help me for the way I am
Save me from these evil deeds
before I get them done
I know tomorrow will bring
The consequences at hand
But I keep living this day
Like the next will never come
Help me, but don't tell me
To deny it
I've got to cleanse myself
Of all these lies till I'm good
Enough for him
I've got a lot to lose
And I'm bettin' high
So I'm begging you before it ends
Just tell me where to begin
What I need is a good defense
'Cause I'm feeling like a criminal
And I need to be redeemed
To the one I've sinned against
'Cause he's all I ever knew of love
Let me know the way
Before there's hell to pay
Give me room to lay the law
And let me go
I've got to make a play
To make my lover stay
So what would an angel say
The devil wants to know
What I need is a good defense
'Cause I'm feeling like a criminal
And I need to be redeemed
To the one I've sinned against
'Cause he's all I ever knew of love
