"You won, and you need to get dressed, because you have to be at the BsB meet 'n greet in an hour. Hurry up!"
Hayley nodded, took a deep breath, and shoved Jessica out the door.
"Hey!" Jessica protested as the door shut and the lock clicked.
"Sorry, Babe, but I gotta do this on my own!"
"That's my girl," Jessica grinned and walked down the sidewalk, nearly tripping on her four inch heels, quickly righting herself and giggling inanely.
Hayley dressed carefully in a pair of black leather pants and a black spaghetti-strap tank top. She pulled on some black boots and slid a glittery black cuff bracelet onto her wrist.
She pulled her waist-length blonde hair over her shoulder and gave it a zig-zag part, then ran a flat-iron over the length of it. She then carefully applied a tinted moisturizer, loose powder, blush, and brown mascara. She then brushed her teeth and applied a layer of dark red lipstick to her lips. She checked for smudges on her teeth and applied a tiny bit of gloss to the center of her bottom lip to make her already full lips look just a bit poutier and smiled. She sprayed herself lightly with her Candie's perfume and grinned at herself in the mirror.
"You look beautiful," Kasey, the neighbor called as Hayley jogged lightly down the front steps and to her driveway where her Jeep Grand Cherokee was parked. She also had a Jeep Wrangler, results of a father who worked for the Jeep company, but the top was down and she didn't want to muss her hair, so she opted for the Grand Cherokee.
"Thank you. You don't look so bad yourself!" She laughed to the girl in her twenties.
"I'm wearing sweats," Kasey pointed out with a laugh.
"And they drape beautifully on you!" Hayley winked, both girls laughed, and Hayley backed out of the driveway.
Once there, she stood and waited for an hour in line, then when she was standing two girls away from the Backstreet Boys, she wrote on a little piece of paper a message.
"What's your name?" The first one, Nick, asked, his jaw dropping slightly.
"Hayley," She purred at him.
"How do you spell it?" He asked, blinking.
"H-a-y-l-e-y," Hayley said prettily, smiling at him.
He signed it and gave her a hug, then handed the picture to Kevin, who was next.
Kevin did a double-take and then she went through the same routine as with Nick. She continued that and some harmless flirting with AJ until she got to the very end.
Brian looked up at her and smiled. "What's your name?"
"Hayley," She said simply.
"Hayley is a beautiful name," Brian murmured. "You look familiar...Have I met you before?"
"I've been to a concert before," Hayley said, lying bluntly.
"Must be it. I could swear you're...Nah, she don't live in Orlando. Nobody knows where she's at," Brian sighed. "Well, here you are."
Hayley smiled and said, "Can I have a hug?"
"Yes, Ma'am," Brian grinned and hugged her tightly. It was the first time in seven years she'd seen him and he was hugging her. She stealthily dropped a piece of paper onto his chair and backed away.
"Goodbye," She waved and Brian stared hard at the ring on her hand. She quickly hid her hand and trotted off happily.
"Yo, B-Rok, you dropped this," AJ said fifteen minutes and at least thirty hugs and fifty autographs later.
"Hmm?" Brian murmured distractedly. He opened the paper and nearly fainted at the familiar handwriting staring up at him. The message was simple, it read, "We both know I still do make-up better, Bri-Bear, but you still owe me that competition. Seems to me you left before we could have it."
"Oh God!" Brian exclaimed. "She was here! Kevin, she was here! Which one was she? Who is she?"
"Hayley?" Kevin asked. "Didn't she have leather pants?"
"Hey, dude, I've gotten at least six Hayley's!" AJ said.
"H-a-y-l-e-y?" Brian spelled.
"Uh-huh, at least six," Nick nodded. "At least!"
"Maybe she's still here," Howie offered.
"Do you feel anyone's eyes on you," AJ whispered in a creepy voice.
"I'm at a meet 'n greet, you moron, of course I do!" Brian moaned.
"Well, you could always..." AJ trailed off and Brian jumped up.
"Ok, will everyone please stay by for a while? We'll give an a capella performance, just please stay!"
All the girls ground to a halt and began to chatter excitedly to themselves.
As soon as all the autographs were signed, Brian stood up. "Will everyone who is named Hayley spelled H-a-y-l-e-y and over twenty please come forward?"
Hayley smirked and shook her head. "No way, Sweetheart, it's not going to be that easy for ya. I want to know if you still care."
Five other girls stepped forward and Brian looked at each one carefully, inspecting their left hands. His shoulders sagged.
Nick pointed at Hayley, who had smartly found a bathroom and changed into flares and a white muscle tank that flashed an inch of her trim, tanned torso and smiled. "What ya want us to sing?"
Hayley smiled. Perfect. Thank you, Nick! "Can you guys sing 'Yes I Will'?"
They nodded and began singing, and Brian didn't even glance her way, or anyone else's. His head was down, facing the floor, to hide the tears.
