I'll Never Break Your Heart

"Casey, baby, let's go!" Brian urged his girlfriend. He wanted to get out to a club before the fans found out this was their hotel.

"I'm coming," Casey muttered, giving herself a once-over in the mirror. It'll do, I guess, Casey thought to herself, inspecting her black vinyl pants and black tube top with a silver chain around her thin waist.

"I look terrible, Brian," Casey emerged from the room and Brian smiled at her.

"No, you don't," Brian grinned again. "You look beautiful. Everyone will wanna dance with you, but only I get to. And I guess, the boys, but don't dance too dirty with them," Brian joked.

"Yeah, yeah," Casey muttered.

The next morning, Casey awoke, her legs aching from all the dancing she'd done the night before. Glancing to her left and seeing that Brian was already gone, she decided to go get a magazine from the little shop downstairs.

The gift shop was empty and silent except for Casey's quiet humming. As her gaze slid over the magazine covers, trying to find her favorite, Fitness, she froze. The only noise was the sound of the water bottle she was carrying hit the floor, then all was silent again.

Casey, hands shaking, snatched the magazine up and ran to pay for it, ignoring the curious glance of the clerk.

She went up to her and Brian's room in shock. She pulled the magazine out of the bag again, to make sure she read it right. The ugly words 'Brian's A Cheater!' glared up at her.

She fumbled with the magazine, flipping through the pages to the article. It was simply a two pictures and some captions, but more than enough to send Casey's emotions through the roof.

It was a picture of Brian and, to Casey's utter shock, Amanda Latona. AJ's ex-girlfriend as of two days ago.

"I always knew she was a whore," Casey muttered to herself.

*Ed. Note - Nothing against Amanda - this is just a STORY!*

The first was a picture of Brian and Amanda four days ago at Disney Land, going into a movie theatre.

The second was them, still at Disney Land, kissing.

Casey sat down on the couch and thought back over her life. She thought about her relationship with Brian and the cicumstances leading up to it as if she were an outsider, and began feeling doubts creep into her head.

"Baby, I'm back," Brian called as he entered the suite.

Casey sat stock-still on the couch, staring at him.

"Didja miss me?" Brian asked, leaning over and trying to kiss her.

"Yeah, but I bet you didn't miss me at all," Casey said bitterly.

"Of course I did, Case," Brian gave her a funny look and sat down beside her. He looked over her shoulder at her magazine as he always did, and his face visibly paled. "Oh, God, Casey..."

"Want to say anything?" Casey asked.

"Yeah," Brian said. "They're wrong, I do love you."

"Just Amanda you love more, than?" Casey was still staring straight ahead. She hadn't been able to bring herself to look at Brian yet.

"I don't love Amanda at all," Brian said. "At least, not like I love you."

"So then it was just a passing fling?" Casey concentrated on the painting over the TV to keep the tears from spilling out.

"No," Brian said slowly.

"So it's not passing, then? You're just having an affair? Just like that?" Casey asked as the tears finally came.

"No, baby," Brian pulled her close to him. "I'll tell you what happened, the whole truth."

"Ok, then, tell me," Casey said.

"I went to Disney Land with the Boys, just like I told you. AJ saw Amanda there, so they met up. Amanda was...Well, Amanda was mad at me because I wouldn't cheat on you, so she saw a reporter there after he took a picture of us standing together laughing. In all honesty, we were laughing at a joke Howie told, but the photographer didn't put D. in the picture," Brian shrugged. "Then Amanda said, 'hey, watch this!' and reached up for a hug. Or what I thought was a hug. So I gave it to her, and she kissed me. The reporter took the picture, and she said, 'That'll teach you.' and that was that.

"That was that, huh?" Casey was still stiff in Brian's arms. "So why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't want you to get mad over nothing," Brian answered honestly.

"Whatever," Casey stood up.

"You believe me, don't you?" Brian whispered, fear gripped his heart.

Casey simply shrugged and walked into the bedroom.

"I'll never break your heart," Brian whispered. "At least, on purpose."
