My Interests
Some of my enjoyments include playing with my son and watching him grow (which seems to take up a lot of my time), hanging with friends, gardening, roller skating, playing cards, board games, long walks, reading, movies, volleyball, soccer, roller coasters, swimming, rollerblading, rock climbing, doing jigsaw puzzles, inner tubing, skiing, driving, relaxing with friends, eating ice cream, baking, and spending time trying to learn all I can about computers and the internet. Oh and I guess you could say relaxing and sleeping since I don't get much time for either anymore with everything else going on :) Basically I'm just enjoying what life has to offer.
I have introduced my son to my favourite pastime as a child; roller skating. I was surfing the net looking for some way to spend another boring weekend when I stumbled across a community centre here in London that still has roller-skating. Without a second thought I decided that we were going to give it a try. J-D was a bit hesitant at first but by the end of the first hour he'd gotten the hang of it. The next weekend we invited Ashley along for the ride. For children who are use to roller blades it's very hard to re-adjust their thinking to accommodate the big and heavy skates we all used when we were younger. Ashley caught on pretty fast too and in no time at all she was off on her own. I’d love to have a big group go. Mandy has expressed interest and I think I could drag my mom out. Maybe one of Ashley’s parents would come and maybe even Nana. I really believe we could have a lot of fun. I love trying to do the Cha-cha without falling on my butt. I know we look sort of stupid but it's really a lot of fun.
My Activities
Other than all this there really isn't much going on in my life right now. Check back later, maybe I'll have something interesting to say.
