Dawson gets his first break to film a news story about Jack going against
stereotypes as a high school football player.   Meanwhile, mischievous Pacey
persuades Joey to cut class, but Principal Green catches them.  Their
punishment is to show school spirit by being the mascot, the Capeside Mule,
at the homecoming game.  Andie grapples with her guilty conscience over
cheating on the PSATs, especially when Principal Green wants to see her
about a confidential matter.  And, Jen  is furious after finding out that
her squad auctioned a kiss from her at homecoming for $500.  However,
another surprise awaits her at the Capeside homecoming game.

"DAWSON'S CREEK" TRIVIA - Test Your Knowledge

BETSY MCPHEE is the NAME of Jack and Andie's MOTHER. 

Yes Neil, this was a tricky trivia question!  In Season Two,
Pacey asks Andie about her name, "Andrea," being on a prescription
pill bottle.  Embarrassed about her mental stability, Andie lies,
telling Pacey that the medication is her mother's.  Andie eventually
confesses to Pacey that the pills are hers.  But what's never revealed
is Mrs. McPhee's real name -- Betsy.

#303 LINES TO REMEMBER -- Lines to remember are reprinted directly
from the script (unless we know the lines have changed drastically, then
we transcribe them from the TV).  The actors sometimes change the
words a little or ad-lib so it doesn't always match perfectly.

JOEY (to Dawson about Eve):  You're so blinded by her cover girl looks, you
wouldn't notice if she did.  I'll bet when she handed you that test you
didn't even fire one ethical comment her way?  Did you?  No.  It's just your
friends that have to suffer through Dawson Leery's morality play.  Bleached
blonde ho-bags willing to put out need not audition.

ANDIE:  Doesn't it bother anyone what this says about our group's level of
integrity? 
PACEY:  I think I speak for "our group" when I retort with a hearty, "No."

PACEY (to Dawson):  If it isn't Inspector Get-A-Clouseau.  What brings you
around these parts at this late hour?

#301 JEN'S CHEERLEADING SPEECH:  "When you see Belinda and her clique in
the hallway... you're desperately wishing that you were walking with them,
aren't you? And you're thinking that maybe if you were wearing the right
shoes, sporting the latest hairstyle and using the hottest shade of lip
gloss, then maybe they would toss a glance in your direction. Ever wonder
why they force their small minded opinions down our throats? Perhaps it's
because they have an inkling of what the future has in store for them beyond
graduation.  Cut to:  Twenty-five years from now Belinda McGovern wakes up
one morning feeling empty. Maybe it's because her Dartmouth educated lawyer
husband, "Tad" has run off to Tijuana with their daughter's roommate from
boarding school.  Or maybe it's because their twins Timmy and Tommy call her
by her first name and their live-in housekeeper, Mom. Or maybe it is Belinda's
daily 2 o'clock, 4 o'clock, 7 o'clock, and 9:15 showdown with her bottle
of Prozac?
 
Her life has become a domestic wasteland. Avoid this fate. Don't let
yourself become another cookie-cutter blonde, size four,
rah-rah-siss-bam-boom, mindless, soul-less, spineless wench. Screw these
auditions. Screw cheerleading! And screw Belinda McGovern!"

NEWCOMERS -- Belinda McGovern is played by actress, VANESSA DORMAN
and Henry Parker is played by actor MICHAEL PITT.  Liz, thanks for giving
him his start at camp -- I'm sure his fans appreciate it!

TIME AFTER TIME -- is performed in #302 (Dawson & Joey on the dock) by
Tuck & Patti.  It can be found on their Cd "Tears of Joy."  This song was
originally recorded by Cindy Lauper.

CAPESIDE HIGH -- has grades 9th-12th.  In Season One, the first day of
school Dawson and Joey were referring to was the first day of their
sophomore year of high school.

ANSWERING EMAILS -- Unfortunately we cannot respond back to emails
individually but we try to answer the most frequently-asked-questions.  We
get hundreds sometimes thousands of emails a week so be patient and look

MISSING DAWSON'S? -- For those of you that are no longer getting the WB,
we are very sorry.  We want as many viewers as possible to have access to
the show.  We are trying to find out what steps you can take to bring the WB
back to your area but since the show itself has little control over this, try
contacting your local cable company to log a complaint and find out
alternatives.

Seth Scares The Green Oz Out Of BUFFY.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 
After appearing in a big screen hits like IDLE HANDS & AUSTIN POWERS,
even all the BUFFY, THE VAMPIRE SLAYER hype isn't
enough to satisfy the box office demon within. The news is
out that Seth Green (Oz) is only scheduled to appear in the
first six episodes of BUFFY this season , and beyond that --
it's any zombie's guess.
 
Seth is set to star in the NEW LINE drama, KNOCKAROUND GUYS,
opposite John Malkovich and Dennis Hopper. The film involves a group
of young mobsters who do battle with a corrupt sheriff of a small
Montana town.This spiked stud will then leap from Sunnydale to
shoot on-location in Canada, for the fall.
 
And for now, Seth is not saying whether he'll return to
BUFFY, but a WB publicist confirms he's officially on
"recurring status" and will not appear in several episodes.
Come on, Seth, BUFFY needs you. To ignore your Supernatural
pals as they challenge the dark side (minus ANGEL), that
would be pure Evil.
