THIS WEEK ON
"DAWSON'S CREEK" -- #306 "Secrets and
Lies"
WEDNESDAY, November 10th at 8:00pm (ET/PT) on The WB.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dawson's mom comes home for the annual Capeside Homecoming
Queen Gala. In an ironic twist, Jen, as the most recently
crowned
Homecoming Queen, must host this event with the oldest living
Homecoming Queen, who's now eighty years old. In charge of
the
entertainment for Capeside's most formal event, Jen arranges for
the most outrageous, Jen-style. At the gala, Dawson finds
out the
real reason why his mother is home, and struggles with his
conscience
over whether to tell Jen what he knows. Meanwhile, Joey and
Pacey rescue Andie, who claims tearfully that Rob assaulted
her.
THIS WEEK ON DAWSON'S
DESKTOP... The Capeside Witch Project
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Dawson decides to get a little help from his friends on a
creative
idea for his English project... but will he realize he has left
someone out? Meanwhile, Jen's not interested in Dawson's
advice
regarding her "admirer," Henry. And you'll never
guess whose
stories appear on "CapeNet," the brand new online
newspaper of
Capeside High...

#206 -- "Did You Ever Love Somebody" performed by
Jessica Simpson
can be found on the Dawson's Creek Soundtrack.
Lyrics -- Did you ever love somebody?/ So much that the earth
moved/
Did you ever love somebody?/ Even though it hurt to/ Did you ever
love somebody?/Nothing else the heart could do/ Did you ever love
somebody?/ Who never knew?/ Did you ever lay your head down?/ On
the
shoulder of a good friend?/ And then have to look away somehow/
Had
to hide the way you felt for them?/ Have you ever prayed the day
wouldcome?/ You'd hear them say they feel it too/ Did you ever
love
somebody? Who never knew./ And if you did/ Well, you know I'd
understand/ I could I would/ More than anybody can/ Did you ever
love
somebody?/ So much that the earth moves/ Did you ever love
somebody?/
Even though it hurt to/ Did you ever love somebody?/ Nothing else
your heart could do/ Did you ever love somebody?/ Like I love
you.
#305 - "Swim" by Madonna can be found on her "Ray
of Light" CD
Lyrics -- Put your head on my shoulder, baby?/ Things can't
get any
worse Night is getting colder, sometimes?/ Life feels like it's a
curse/ I can't carry these sins on my back/ Don't wanna carry
anymore/
I'm gonna carry this train off the track/Gonna swim to the ocean
floor/ Crash to the other shore/Swim to the ocean floor/ Children
killing children /while the students rape their teachers/ Comets
fly
across the sky/ While the churches burn their preachers/We can't
carry
these sins on our back/ Don't wanna carry anymore/We're gonna
carry
this train off the track/ We're gonna swim to the ocean floor/
Crash to the other shore/ Swim to the ocean floor/ Let the water
wash over you/Wash it all over you?/ Swim to the ocean floor/
So that we can begin again/Wash away all our sins/ Crash to the
other shore
CORRECTION:
Paula Cole's album which features "I Don't Want to
Wait" is called
"This Fire." Sorry for the typo. Thanks for
noticing.
LINES TO REMEMBER: :
CLASSICS FROM SEASON TWO
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
#201 -- Joey and Dawson talking after Jen interrupted their first
date:
JOEY: Yes. I could spend the rest of my life worrying
about Jen
Lindley and your unfortunate need to take care of her, but there
are
so many more things for me to think about. Like France, for
instance.
Do you know why I didn't go to France, Dawson? Because I
wanted to
go. So badly. I mean, in France I could have started
over. I
wouldn't be Joey, the waitress. Or Joey, the daughter of a
convict.
Or Joey, the white trash girl on the creek. Or Joey, half
of the
"will they or won't they" couple of the century.
I didn't go to
France because it seemed like the easy way out. The easiest
escape
from my life, which in spite of a few highlights is pretty
pathetic.
And I didn't want to take the easy way out, because I figured
that
sticking around here would make me stronger. That I would
learn more
here, and in the midst of life's little tragedies I would
grow. And
there was you, too. Dawson Leery, who finally got a
clue. And it
seemed like no matter what else happened, I would be secure in
that.
But I have to tell you, Dawson, as complicated as our friendship
was,
it doesn't even compare to how complicated whatever you and I
have
here is bound to be. And never in my life has taking the
easy way
out seemed like exactly what I need to do.
comments can be about anything... the actors, the story, the
dialogue,
the music, etc. (If you're not able to catch that
particular episode,
feel free to write in any opinions you do have about the show)!
QUESTION THE CREEK: You've
Got Questions, We've Got Answers.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
FAN FAVORITE EPISODE RESULTS (OLYMPIC STYLE) -- The votes are
in!
In fourth place we have a tie with #201 "The Kiss" and
#207
"The All-Nighter" finishing just out of the
medals!
Capturing third place and the bronze medal was #112
"Decisions"
(also known as "Breaking Away"). Joey and
Dawson's first not-on-
a-dare kiss was a real fan favorite.
The next two episodes went neck and neck, battling it out to the
very end -- we weren't sure until all the results were in, which
episode would emerge victorious!
Second place and the silver goes to the much loved "On My
Own"
episode, #111 "The Beauty Pageant (also known as
"Pretty Woman").
And the gold medal, blue ribbon, and first prize goes to... #106
"Detention" (also known as "The Breakfast
Club")!!!! Fans loved
everything about this episode from Joey and Dawson's first
truth-or-dare kiss to Pacey's "Mighty Duck" lines!
Thanks for voting!
FIRST SEASON EPISODES -- As many of you might have noticed the
Season 1 episodes all have two titles (i.e.,
"Detention" and
"The Breakfast Club"). This is because we
originally named all the
episodes after movies titles but then were told that it wasn't
allowed.
We had to rename all our episodes from first season to
"non-movie"
titles!
SHOUT-OUTS -- to Lissy, Jessica, Jeni, Flo, Tha a man9, Dawson's
Creek
Fan Forum Message Board, Travis & Laura at William and Mary,
Lomega
Raiders & to all teams starting their basketball seasons, to
best
friends Brianna & Sara, and to Colleen, Jenny &
Cassie.
Happy Birthday to Nadia, Molly, Brooke, CKGal.

Red Light REAL WORLD Gets Fat Tuesday: Visit the Big Easy any
time of year and you'll stagger away thinking
"Colorful,
theatrical, insane." The perfect place to host MTV's REAL
WORLD?
Never. That's why it'll be the perfect setting for the show's 9th
season beginning in January from New Orleans. This is THE party
locale that just may bring RW to it's knees. The city once
served as a setting for an episode of WORLD's sister show,
ROAD RULES, proving the chemistry can be explosive.
And while not every REAL WORLD city has embraced the
chaos of MTV'scranky roommates -- the worst night of REAL
WORLD madness can't compare to midnight on Bourbon Street.
How about a roomy brawl in the middle of Mardi Gras?
