Battling the ninth-ranked Osage Green Devils on Saturday night at home, the Crestwood wrestling team built a 34-13 lead and held on to nip the Green Devils, 34-32.

"Osage is wrestling very good and to beat them was big for us," Cadet head coach Doug Hatch said. "Some key matches included Adam Lueschow's last second takedown, and David Reicks had a last second takedown for a win."

Hatch added that Tannor Burke, Johnny Roberts and Kyle Slifka all wrestled very well to earn wins. Trevor Thomas and Mitch Kriener wrestled "very smart to stop Osage from scoring extra team points," said Hatch.

The win gave Crestwood an overall dual meet record of 13-7 for the 2004-2005 season.
