You Don't Know Me
Beauty isn’t what you see
It comes from deep within.
You have to look past the outside
And see what’s underneath the skin.

You have to see the beating heart
You have to know the mind.
If you looked beyond exterior
You’d be surprised at what you’d find.

For inside there’s a person
With joys, and hates, and fears.
There are things that bring out smiles
And things that cause them tears.

They really aren’t that different
It’s just in the way they look.
But you should read the novel
Before you judge the cover of the book.
