Chapter 10

I stepped back from AJ and sat back down. "AJ, I like you... but I hardly know you... don't you think that this is moving a little too fast?" I asked. He looked puzzled for a moment then spoke.

"Oh! No, no, I didn't mean to go somewhere else to get it on or anything, just that this is a storage room, and who knows who else might walk in. But I see what you mean. Maybe we'd better just slow down..." he sounded reluctant though.

I smiled and stood up, putting my arms around his waist. "I just wanna get to know you better, but that doesn't mean we can't do this..." I said, kissing him. He responded gently. I pulled away again. " I should go home though, Sum and I have to pack!" He smiled and opened the door for me, swatting me playfully on the butt as I left. I flashed him a wicked grin over my shoulder.

As we returned to the games room, Summer was no where to be seen, but Nick was sound asleep on the couch.

"Wow..." mouthed AJ and I nodded, closing the door softly as we left.

"Looking for me?" a voice came from behind us. I jumped, startled. When I turned around, Summer was standing there.

"Actually...yes. " I responded, looking back towards the door.

"Is he still sleeping? He was so tense, he had a shitload of knots in his neck and shoulders, not to mention his back. I'm not sure I'll want to tour if that's what will happen to me..." she laughed quietly. AJ looked amazed.

"Touring had nothing to do with Nick..." I sat on the floor, leaning against the wall as AJ told Summer the same thing that he had told me. Summer was stunned by the end.

"Woah, I never would have guessed... I wonder why I didn't bother him..." She thought out loud.

"What, with those magic hands?" I joked, but we all knew that there was something else to it.

Just then, Brian and Kevin came around the corner. Brian came over, looking at Summer. "You two, the limo driver says that he'll take you back to your place to pack... he'll pick you up sometime tomorrow."

"Just to pack?" I asked. "It's that simple, is it?"

Summer nodded. "How do you pack for a tour like this? We'll be gone ‘till when, Christmas?" she asked.

Kevin sighed. "Actually, we're not done ‘till mid-may."

I stared at him. "It's August now... nine months? How do you pack for nine months?" I asked.

We started to walk toward the doors as Brian answered. "You don't. Pack for the time ‘till our first break, October. Pick up more stuff the next time you're home. It's easier that way."

"Cool! Thanks, see you tomorrow!" I said as we got into the limo. I sent AJ a little wink, which he caught and smiled at. As we pulled away from the curb, I turned to Summer. "So, anything go on with Nick that I should know about?" I asked.

"Hey, what about you and AJ?" she asked. "I saw that wink!" she laughed.

"No fair, I asked first!" I crossed my arms.

"Ok, fine. But you will tell me!" I nodded. "OK. I didn't notice that everyone had left until, well, we were alone. You know how I get absorbed. Anyway, I was working Nick's shoulders, after finishing his neck. We didn't talk, I actually don't think we said anything to each other. We kinda had a connection, you know? A little like you and me, when we know what each other's thinking. But this was different. Anyway, I started rubbing between his shoulder blades, there was a massive knot there. It was getting awkward, reaching over the couch. At pretty much the same time, he laid down on his stomach on the couch, closing his eyes. I came around to the other side and straddled his lower back, to get the leverage, you know."

I laughed. "Of course. For the leverage. Sure." She hit me lightly. "You know you liked it!"

"Seriously though. Anyway, the next thing I knew, he was asleep. I figured I could finish some other time, so I left. He looks so cute when he's asleep..." she gazed out her window.

"I knew it! You like him!" Of course she denied it, but I knew she did.

"All right, fine, your turn!"

I sighed, and started in on my own story. "So after we left the games room..." I told her everything. She would know if I left anything out anyway. She can always tell when I hold something back.

"Awww! So cute!" She exclaimed when I finished. "But I'd watch out if I were you... he seems like a player to me!" she warned.

"I know, mother." I joked as the limo stopped outside our building.
