Chapter 15

"Yes kiddies, that's what I said! The Backstreet Boys are gonna be in Victoria - Tomorrow! Do you want tickets? Just be the fifth caller to 555-KTZF to win! Call Now! To convince you, we'll play their last single off of Millenium, The One!"

I flicked the radio off as the bus pulled into the hotel parking lot in Victoria, BC. The boys had a show here tonight, and one in Vancouver tomorrow. The tech bus had gone ahead early this morning so that they could set up in the venue.

AJ and I were cuddling when the bus stopped. I heard the engine shut off and looked up at AJ. "silence..." I whispered. He smiled and continued playing with my hair.

We lay there until Summer bounced into the bus. "Hey! We're at the hotel! Get a room! Ha!" she yelled as she grabbed her bag and left.

I burst out laughing. "She has a point. Besides, I need off of this bus!" I got up and held my hands out to AJ. "Coming?" I asked.

He smiled. "Most definitly." he said, holding my hand as we walked off of the bus and into the back door of the hotel. I was amazed that there weren't any fans, I had been expecting a mob.

AJ seemed a little surprised too. "I guess that worked, I'm shocked." he said, mostly to himself.

"What worked?" I asked.

"We had Nick call the radio station and do an interview, sliding in 'acidentally' that we were staying the the Hilton, his favourite hotel." AJ explained as we stepped into the lobby of the Victoria Radisson. There were a few diehard fans there who had spotted the busses coming into the city, so I hung back at the reception desk to get my key and watch AJ do his thing.

There were a few security guards there, just to keep an eye on things, but nothing got out of hand. Brian and Howie were downstairs as well, and the three of them signed autographs and took pictures. It was really sweet, how much AJ cared for his fans.

He politely excused himself after he was sure he had seen everyone, and tried to slip away quietlu. He picked up his key and we headed to the elevator, going to the sixth floor. There was a bodyguard outside the elevator door who directed us to our rooms. Mine was directly across the hall from AJ, and he kissed me softly on the cheek as he whispered in my ear, "I'll be seeing you later?" I nodded and grinned at him as I went into my room to unpack the bags that had been delivered there.

I flopped down on one of the double beds and sighed. "Ahhhh! A big bed... no curtain... nothing to hit my head on... Yes!!!" I closed my eyes and flung my arms out as far as they could go, taking up the whole bed.

"Uh, hey Cass." I heard a male voice say, so I oped my eyes and sat up.

"Jord?" I had been avoiding him the whole time on the bus trip, and didn't even talk to him much in Toronto. "What are you doing here?" I asked him.

"This is my room..." he said, looking from me to my bags.

"No... it's mine! I was supposed to be in a room with Summer..." I laid back down on the bed, groaning, as a knock was heard on the door. Jord opened it, and Summer walked in with her bags.

"I'm home!" she yelled. "What are you doing here Jordan?" she asked, dropping her stuff.

"They gave me a key to this room..." he started to say as someone else knocked on the door.

Summer opened it to find Tim, out tour director. "Tim!" I yelled, but stopped as he held up a hand.

"Don't, I know. This is why - we're out of room on this floor, and it's much easier to stay on the one floor. Since you three all know each other, we figured it would be ok. It's just tonight." he stated as he closed the door behind himself and left the three of us alone.

"I'm sure we can work this out..." Jord started, but was interrupted by the phone.

"Like you mind." Summer glared at him as she picked up the phone. "Hello? Oh, hi Nick! Sure, I can come over... yep! Be right there! Bye!" she hung up and grinned as she pocketed her key and opened the door. "C ya later! We'll chat Cass!" she left to go to Nick's room, I presumed. I closed my eyes and laid down again. After a moment I felt the bed sag beside me. I opened my eyes and glared at Jord.

"Like I was saying, I'm sure we can work something out, Cass..." he said quietly as he inched closer to me.

"Uh, no Jord, no right now..." I said as I grabbed my key and left, slamming the door and leaning against it. "ARGH!!!!!!" I yelled. "If only he thought this three weeks ago!" I moaned, sitting down on the floor, resting my head on my knees.

"Thought what three weeks ago?" I heard AJ ask. I looked up to see him standing in his doorway.

Oh No... "Uh, nothing, just that I got stuck in a room tonight with Jord..." I said, getting up off of the floor.

"Why would that be so bad? It's just one night." AJ said, opening his door wider to invite me in. "Unless I have a reason to be jealous..." he said, closing the door behind us.

"Oh, J, of course not!" I answered. but I did like Jord before...no! It's AJ! I can't think that! I shouted inside my head.

"Then it's cool." he said, pulling me to him, looking me in the eye. He trailed his finger down my spine.

"Yeah," I answered, "it's cool..."
