I knew that I was lying to AJ. I knew that it wasn't cool to be in the same room as Jordan. I had been avoiding him for a reason, I wasn't sure how I felt about him. I had always had a crush on Jord, but now that he was returning the emotion, I didn't know if I wanted it to be more than that. I loved what I had with AJ and I didn't want to give that up. He was so sweet, so sensitive... not always the clown that he was in public.
"Cass, where are you?" AJ asked, pulling me from my thoughts. He looked at me and it seemed as if his eyes could read into the depths of my soul.
"Huh? Oh, nowhere, just thinking." I answered, being pulled back to earth.
"Bout what?" he asked.
"Uh, about the show tonight..." I answered, making something up to save my butt. I think he could tell that that wasn't what was on my mind, but he took the hint.
"I'm excited! We'll get to interact with the fans a lot more than we usually get to, since the crowd will be smaller." he replied, looking at his watch. "It's almost time for rehearsals, let's go find the guys." he got up and walked to the door with me behind.
"Ok, but I'm going to change. I'll meet up with you guys though, ok?" I asked as I unlocked my door and opened it a crack.
"Cool, Kev's room in 10 minutes, ok?" he asked, and I nodded before I closed the door.
I turned around to find Jord sitting on his bed, watching TV. "Hey Cass." he said, lowly, looking at me.
"Look, Jord. I don't know what you think is going to happen, but I'm with AJ now." I said, starting to unpack.
"I know you like me." he stated as he stood up and took a couple of steps toward me. "Don't deny it." he stared me in the eye.
"Yes, I did, but I'm with AJ, and perfectly happy!" I was starting to get frustrated. "Why did you pick now to like me back? Before three weeks ago, I was as free as a bird! Why now?" I yelled.
"I never realized just how beautiful you were..." he said, coming within two steps of me.
"No, Jord! You're too late!" I said firmly, shoving him away from me with the palms of my hands. He grabbed my wrists and pulled me to him. "Jord!" I yelled. "Let go of me!" I tried to pull away from him, but his grip was strong.
"I know you want me too, Cass! Admit it!" he yelled.
I shook my head. "No!" I cried. "I don't!" I tried to pull away again as I heard a knock on the door.
"Cass?" AJ's voice called. "You alright in there?"
Jordan let go of my arms and pushed me onto the bed. "He won't be around to stop us next time." he said, before walking to the door. "She's fine." he said harshly to AJ as he strutted into the hall.
AJ walked over to me. "What was all that about? Are you ok?" he asked.
"I'm fine." I lied again to him, he didn't need to worry. This wouldn't happen again.
