00-01 Fieldshow Journal

6-18-00: Well the 16th (friday) was the last day of school and we have this whole week until we start conditioning for next year. Boy, do we get early starts eh? Well we'll start conditioning June 27 and June 29 (tues and thurs) and will continue to do so every tuesday and thursday during the summer. This year's theme for our fieldshow is something along the lines of being a western show. We were thinking of doing Dances with Wolves, but now we're just gonna have a mix of famous western classics and new songs. Well that's all the news for now. I'll be back after we start practice and get into the swing of things again....Oh wait, I almost forgot; we have a new advisor this year. Welcome Mrs. Caldwell!! =)

6-12-00: Well we have our pep rally song picked out and routine made and we're off to a good start learning it. Our song is the new Limp Bizkit song made for the MI2 movie. The routine's got great moves and it's really fun so far. I think we're really gonna kick some butt and this first pep rally!

8-7-00: Hey all! Well we've finished the pep rally routine and are polishing it up currently. We had our first "parent night" on the 3rd and it went rather well. We also got our uniforms in so i will try to get a picture up as soon as possible. On another note...band camp starts next week...ooohh fun...heh yeah whatever. It should be cool though. Our captain will be gone for the first week though so we still have to figure out what to do there...and you know what band camp means: the lock-in is right around the corner! hehehe In case you don't know what the lock-in is it's when the whole brigade is "locked in" the theater and we have basically a huge slumber party...It's A LOT of fun..Well I'll be back when I have more info!

8-18-00: Hey there! Well Band Camo starts this week...Just in case any of the members need to know the dates and times here ya go: August 21-31 8-12:30...I'm gonna try and get some pictures and post them as soon as possible..Well that's all I have for now...

Fall 2000 Uniform8-27-00: Hey there! Well we're a week into band camp and things are going good. Our captain, Jess, was gone this week so I have been given the assignment to make up the routine for song 1. Easier said than done, but it's moving right along. Also, we now have our uniforms in and there's a pic of it to the left. Tomorrow morning the c.g. goes in for our make overs at the mall. Cool huh? Well I'm hoping I'll have some pictures of that later. But for now I must be goin...

9-9-00: Well we had our first football game and performance last night. Our Wildcat football team beat The Murrieta Night Hawks 42-28...We're definitely off to a good start. We performed our fieldshow and it went well. I'm sure that will improve greatly for the next game. Also I put the picture up from our makeovers on the group pix page. So that's the news for now..

9-16-00: Well we had an away game against Banning High School Last night. The band didn't go, but I went with some friends just to watch the game..We won 51-7! They didn't even get their only touchdown until the last three minutes of the game. Great Job guys! Keep up the good work! Regarding the band and colorguard, we have finally learned songs 1-3...only two left to go and we have a competition in three weeks..We'll defintely have it ready to show everyone by then!

10-6-00: Wow it's been awhile since I updated huh?? I've been extremely busy, as have the rest of the squad. Well here's a little back info. We lost our game against La Quinta High but we won last week at Valley View. We have another game against Elsinore which I won't be attending but am rooting for our team in spirit. Also, we have our first competition this saturday at Eastlake High School in Chula Vista so that should be fun. Last week we got an e-mail from a representative of the La Habre High School Band saying that he put a link to our site on their band's page, so i think it's only fair to place a link to their site so here it is:
La Habra High School Band
Well that's all the info I have for not so I'll be back after Saturday's competition with more news!

10-8-00: Wow, last night's competition was sooooo much fun. The band did really well and, well, the color guard needed some work. But that's ok, we still have a few weeks to perfect things for our next competition!..

10-14-00: We kicked our arch rival, West Valley's butt last night! We won 42-19 in our Sunbelt League Opener. Way to go guys!! Also we had our first full performance for our home crowd and it was great! Everybody loved the new line dancing we threw in and the cute "comedic" type moves. Thx for all the cheering and support! Good job everyone, keep up the good work!

10-21-00: Yay! We won another game!! It was away so we didn't get to perform, but I thought I'd say that our boys won. Good job guys!! Well we have another home game next friday so I'll be back then..

10-29-00: Great news!! First, our boys won the game on friday against Hemet 35-17 (i think) and we put on a great show. Then, on Saturday, the color guard took 3rd place (out of 5) at Glen Wilson High School and the band took 4th. It was tons of fun and we all had a great time. I'll be back after our homecoming game this coming friday...

11-09-00: Hey there veryone! Well we won our Homecoming game against...well I can't remember who it was against, but we won... ;) Now, tonight we have a game against Perris (which just happens to be the field we use for our home games) and ironically enough Our band and Color Guard are having a pizza party with their band before the game. i guess we'll see how that goes huh? And, tomorrow, We have our last fieldshow competition which is at Capistrano Valley High School. We're competing in Class 1A so I'll be back after the comp!

11-14-00: Hey there all! Well the Brigade took 2nd outta five on saturday....I dunno what the band placed by themselves, but we're pretty sure the color guard placed either second or first (we didnt stay for awards, but received the scores yesterday) so all in all it was a good day! i should have a professional big group pic in a few weeks that I ordered at the comp so I will post that as soon as I get it...

11-20-00: Hey there! Well we won our game against Corona last Friday 40-7...way to go guys! But, onto more important things (j/p *s*) It's about that time for Winterguard! We are entering only two categories this year: Color Guard and Flags. We have our music picked for the Color Guard category: it'll be a western theme feature N'Sync's "Space Cowboy" as well as some other classic western songs. We haven't decided on a flag song yet though. I'll be back later with more info...

11-28-00: Hey there! Well we won again last week against Temescal 19-15. IT sure was a close and good game! We have finally decided what song we're gonna do for flags. We chosen "Another Brick In the Wall" by Pink Floyd. What a classic eh? ;) So we're working on cutting that music at the music and will hopefully have a routine by tryouts (which is December 11th) Well that's all for now. I'll see ya'll later!

12-06-00: Hey all....Well some sad news..We lost our last football game, but on the other hand, we put on a great show! *BG* But ya'll know what no more football games means....Winterguard! Yep check back soon and I'll have the 00-01 Winterguard Journal up..
