Disclaimer: If I owned them, this wouldn't need to be typed up, now, would it?

Note: I don't know what this is going to be about, so if I babble for hours, then you can just leave and I won't be hurt. Promise. I think I'll make this about a Police raid on the TRHQ...::gets that dreamy 'flashback' look on her face:: And no, I do not eat Rice Krispies!

Guns And Roses

"I'm glad I have all of you here. Information has been passed on to the Saffron Police force on the whereabouts of the Head Quarters. There is going to be a raid this afternoon." Giovanni said calmly.
A murmur of panic swept through the audience. Jessie glanced at James. He could almost here her shrieking 'we're dead!' though she kept her face absolutely neutral. He could see it it her eyes, the gleam of fear. The gleam of death.
"Each of you will be issued with a weapon, and three hundred rounds for each." Giovanni continued. He looked down at his terrified audience. Several of the girls had burst into tears, and their partners were attempting to comfort them. The youngest member, Mondo, was so still Giovanni wasn't sure if he was breathing. There was a look of sheer unmasked terror upon his face.
"If anyone is to leave, let them leave now!" Giovanni called into the audience. "But be ready to come back at my calling! Team Rocket will prevail, and we will denounce truth and love and justice!" Giovanni stood back and looked again at his audience. Though terrified, an aura of strength shone about the scant few who had remained after his previous statement. Only twenty-five of the original one hundred and thirty were seated in front of him, plus Mondo and himself. 133 adding the Meowth, who may as well count as a person. Giovanni smiled as he noticed Jessie and James staring boldly at him. I am glad you are finally ready, he thought. But I hope you both survive...

"Men will be in the fore ground. They will take the first shots, and protect the grounds. Girls will be on the windows, preventing the building from invasion." Jessie almost screamed with anguish when Giovanni said that. He couldn't separate them...it just wasn't possible...
James felt his heart stop and the blood drain from his face. He stared at Jessie's gloved hand, which had tensed on his leg. She was trembling with fear and anger. Tears had appeared in the corners of her eyes, but she was trying not to let them fall. James laid a reassuring hand on her thigh. Jessie looked at him and nearly burst into tears, he looked so scared and he was so pale. "Prepare ta fire!" Meowth yelled. He had been put in charge of drilling the women in the building. "Two ta a window," he grinned mischievously. "An' wait til ya see da whites a dere eyes!"
Some of the girls stared at him in confusion, on the verge of asking 'can I have that again?' when a shot rang out from below and they all began firing madly. A small force of the Saffron Police had walked into the clearing, thinking they'd sneak up on the Head Quarters. Not so. They were ripped apart by bullets before they ran three feet. Three men and a Jenny fell bloodied to the ground.
"It ain't over yet! Keep yer weapons up!" Meowth grabbed a gun himself and climbed up onto a window sill. All around the building, police officers popped up in the bushes. One by one they fell, but the Rockets were losing members too. Jessie saw three girls stop shooting and topple forwards out of the windows. They were three stories up. Jessie kept her focus. Concentrate or you'll end up like that! She screamed at herself. She ducked behind to replenish her ammo, and the girl beside her did the same. The only difference was that when the other girl, Petra, stood again she was thrown back wards by the force of the bullet that was lodged deep in her lower throat.

After hours of endless firing, Jessie felt something tug at her mind. She looked down with the terrible sickening feeling that something was horribly, desperately wrong.
"James!" The word tore at her throat, a long howling syllable that echoed despair. James had collapsed on the ground, blood leaking from a wound in his left shoulder. An officer had hit him with the butt of his gun and he looked unconscious.
"James, no!" Jessie, without thinking, pushed herself forwards out of the window, landing hard on her right side. A sudden explosion of pain stopped her for a second but she ignored it, and crawled the twenty feet to her partner.
"James...oh god, James..." She whispered in horror. His face was pale and he was barely breathing.
"J...Je..." He frowned in frustration as he tried to form the word.
"Jess....Jessie..."
"James, I'm here..." Jessie started to cry, clutching at her fallen partner.
"Jessie..." He repeated firmly. His lips were turning blue.
"James, don't go..." Jessie pleaded. He smiled sadly at her and closed his eyes.
"I'm...sorry...Jess..." He whispered. "Jenny!" She screamed. "Jenny get your Police-Official ass over here!" A female police officer looked over at her and raised her gun.
"Stay where you are!" She yelled.
"I'll come to you...don't move!"
"Don't give me that shit!" Jessie argued. "He's dying you stinking bitch! Get some help over here!"
"Why would we want to help a Rocket?" sneered one of the male officers.
Jenny's eyes narrowed. "Because she's asking for your help. She's asking you to save him." She snapped. "I don't care who she is, get an ambulance. NOW!"

Jessie knocked on the door of James' hospital room "James...?"
He smiled at her, unable to speak because of the drip that ran down his throat. She sat down beside him and took his hand.
"How are you feeling?" James gave her a thumbs up, then moved it from side to side in a gesture of "Not bad, not good". Jessie smiled sadly at him. "I wish you could talk..." He nodded, grimly.
A nurse came in. (Uh, what could her name be?)
"Excuse me Miss, but we need to get rid of his drip and take out the stitches...he should be ready to leave by tomorrow."
Jessie grinned. "Okay." She turned back to James and kissed his forehead. "I'll see you tomorrow, okay?"
James blushed a little and nodded. He looked suddenly alarmed. The Poké Ball at his waist was shaking. Weezing and Victreebel burst out.
"Weeeezz..." The gas-ball said.
"I'll take them back with me, okay James?" she grinned teasingly. "That way you won't need to stay longer because of Victreebel's...attachment to you..."

"Jess!"
"James!" Jessie grabbed him in a tight hug. "I was so worried about you...how are you feeling?"
"Fine! Everything's healed nicely..." He grimaced. "We're s'posed to be back on the Pikachu in three days, though."
"Yeah...still, at least Team Rocket survived."
James wrapped an arm around her waist. "At least we survived."

"Prepare for trouble!"
"Make it double!"
Ash stared at them. "Wasn't there a raid?" He asked.
Jessie scowled. "You probably tipped them off!" She moved closer to James, hovering near him, protectively. Meowth and Pikachu both snickered.
"Pika pika chu~" It teased in an annoying sing-song chant.
"Aw leave 'em alone Pikachu....what have dey ever done to y...never mind." Meowth trailed off.
"What did he say?" Jessie and James asked.
"Do ya both promise not ta hoit me?"
"Pika pi, pika pika chu pika." Pikachu said to Ash.
"Are you serious?" Ash replied, smirking.
Jessie and James nodded. Meowth whispered something in Jessie's ear. She blushed, but leant over to James and whispered it to him. James walked up to Pikachu and kicked it into a tree.
"Piiiiiiiikaaaaaa...." Pikachu started to glow.

Jessie and James screamed and hugged each other.
"I thought Pikachu could only evolve with the Thunder Stone!" Jessie shrieked as she clutched at James.
"I told you that Pikachu was special!" James yelled. The newly evolved Raichu lashed its tail angrily.
"Laaaaaiiiiiiii....." It began to gather electricity.
"Help!" Meowth called to Ash. "Call da Raichu off!"
"Pika--Raichu, wait a second." Ash said slowly. Raichu looked at its trainer impatiently.
"Okay, what happened at the raid?"
"James got shot and Jenny and I took him to hospital. He's been there for the past three weeks." Jessie said.
"Oh. So he's okay now?"
"Yeah...I guess."
"Good. Raichu, Thunder!"
Jessie and James screamed.

"Owww..."
"Why'd you kick it James?"
"You heard what it said!"
"It's kinda true though, ain't it?" Meowth said thoughtfully.
"Meowth!" Jessie and James whined in unison. They looked at each other for a second.
"Well...I suppose..." James said after a moment.
"Really?" Jessie exclaimed, her eyes shining. "Uh, I mean...yeah, maybe..." She blushed and looked awkwardly at her hands. James looked at her, then looked away.
"Well..."
"Yeah." Jessie said.
"Well I'm gonna go...uh, cook dinner?" Meowth ran off.
"I'll go...have a shower." Jessie murmured. James grinned sheepishly.
"Yeah. I guess I should stop Meowth from making burnt Rice Krispies."

"Jess? Did you...uh, do you think that maybe..." James trailed off.
"...about what P--, Raichu said..." Jessie added.
"Yeah." James smiled. Jessie nodded encouragingly. "Do you...? I mean, I've always...um..." He was furious with himself. Just say it James! He thought.
"I never realised how much you meant to me James Not until this." Jessie said softly. She looked like she was about to cry. "I...I've just...I love you so much..." Jessie looked up at him with eyes full of tears. "I just wouldn't know what to do without you..." James hugged her.
"Jess...I wouldn't be able to live if you weren't there..." He whispered, and kissed her softly.
"Oh James..."

Meowth stood on a high cliff. A light mist formed into the figure of a woman in her early forties with long purple hair. A faint scent of roses hung around her.
"Well, Ma'am I think I finally got dem tagedda..."
"Very good Meowth. Keep close watch and make sure nothing hurts my baby." The ghost smiled. "Take care, furball."
Meowth looked up at the ghost. "I will. I promise."
