Jessie woke up in the middle of the night feeling very sick she knew if she told James he would stay up all night and not get any sleep so she decided to go back to sleep and forget about it unfortunately when she woke up the next morning she felt even worse and when she tried to get up a wave of dizziness hit her and she had to lay back down. A few minutes later James came in to tell her breakfast was ready
“Hey Jessie”
He said before he even finished his sentence he saw that she was sick he rushed over to where she was laying.
“Jessie you’re sick” he exclaimed.
Jessie nodded weakly
“why didn’t you tell me you we’re sick” He demanded
“I didn’t want to worry you” she said in a hoarse voice.
“Well it’s a little late for that I wish you’d have told me. I’ll go get you something to drink and some medicine”
After he left the room Jessie sighed she was glad he cared about her.

For a shield from the strom

James came in and put a wet cloth on her head. “I think you have a fever” he said “Drink this it’ll make you feel a little better I hope” he added.
Jessie took a sip of the drink and started coughing. James turned pale
“Are you alright do I need to call the doctor what’s wrong?” he sounded more then a little frantic as he said this.
Jessie smiled softly “James I’m fine” she said “I just choked a little”
James became slightly calmer but not much he was still worried. That night Jessie couldn’t sleep she was so cold. James sat beside her and gave her another blanket but it wasn’t helping.
“Jessie you need to see a doctor” James said.
Jessie shook her head she had always hated doctors. She was about to tell him something but a red haze covered her vision and everything began to swirl together. The next thing she knew James was shaking her and crying. She couldn’t understand what he was saying she was so tired.

Jessie gradually became conscious. As soon as her vision cleared she realized she was in a hospital and that James was asleep in a chair by her bed. As she looked at him he began to stir and woke up quickly as though something had scared him. When he saw her awake he smiled and his emerald eyes sparkled happily.
“Jessie you’re awake! How do you feel? Are you okay?” He asked.
Jessie had to smile he looked so happy. “I’m fine James what happened?” she asked.
“Well you passed out and I couldn’t wake you up so I brought you to the hospital” James explained.
They sat in silence for awhile just enjoying each other’s company.
“Jessie” James said after awhile “I think I learned something from all this” Jessie looked at him curiously
“And what was that?” she inquired he smiled and looked a little embarrassed
“Well I learned that I love you” he looked away as though he thought she might hit him.
“You know what James” Jessie said.
“What?” he asked turning to look at her.
“I love you too” she said.
